  1. Analyze This! on File Sharing and CD Sales, Again · · Score: 1

I've got something for the RIAA to Analyze,

    1) Slow Economy at the same time of slow sales. what a coincidence, I actually bought food so I could stay alive, instead of a cd during these hard times.

    2) Greed. Isn't this interesting, (A) they double the price of cd's over cassetts, even though it costs them less then 10% to produce the cd's or what it did cassettes. (B) Artists only get $0.10 - $0.15 / CD sale, ok so wtf happens to the other $20 I'm spending? (C) Just about everything the RIAA is doing to piss us off is because they are soley motivated on Greed.

    3) Monopoly. Please please, do us all a favor and split these greedy bastards up before they take away any more freedoms from us.

Linux has become easier to install over the last 3 years I've been playing with it, I'm not going to mention distro's because even though I've tested out many different ones I dont' want to start a disto war...Windows has become harder to install.

The thing I like most about installing linux is that I can install all the software I want while I'm installing it I find myself done within around an hour at the longest.

With windows, I find myself getting it installed in about 45 minutes, then I still have to install the drivers, and software...5-6 hours later I might be done. But then again we wouldn't want Microsoft to provide all the software we use with windows now would we?

I'm talking about backing up approximately 500Gb worth of data spanning across 7 Harddrives in a non-raid environment, this data isn't going to be changing much, and I don't like the cost of the tape drive solution, besides with a little organization you can find any of your data from cd's/dvd's much faster then from Tape backups.

Harddrives aren't really cost effective for this matter, and there is too big a risk of failure involved!
