The issue at hand, is that the Fermi Paradox doesn't consider the probability that an intelligent alien life will suffer from RF spectrum sensitivity, and will thus build a civilization void of radio transmissions... I'm just sayin'.
hah hahha haaaaaaaaa. Magnificent. Are you actually DEFENDING the gp's scientific findings? I was lamenting the fact that there was no actual science being cited here... and you tell me I am attacking scientific findings. That deserves a slow clap...
I believe I asked for science... not speculation. Your cavalier use of the word "probably" has nothing to do with actual probability, and should probably be replaced with the word "speculatively" or "imaginatively."
So nukes aside, let's explore the other option... how would one produce greenhouse gasses on mars? I can't stand the bullshit rhetoric argument that we're pretty damned good at it here on earth, so it must be easy on mars..... On earth we have millions of people, on earth we have COAL, on earth we have industry driven by the consumerism of those millions of people... none of those things exist on mars. There is no energy on mars AT ALL except the sun hitting the planet, and here on earth, using the power of the sun has been argued as the REMEDY for greenhouse gasses! So WTF? Where does the energy and chemistry come from that will produce billions of tons of greenhouse gasses on mars? Sounds like unicorn fart futures are way up!
I'm a big fan of "the dubya"... and by "big fan", I really mean "I don't hate him - because he didn't screw up THAT bad". But that's all beside the point... my point was that ANY president, nay, EVERY president gets blamed for the things that go sideways under their watch, regardless of the past decisions that made that event possible, and regardless of the decisions they made that contributed to the situation. The original statement didn't introduce any partisan bickering, you did, so try to keep it on topic if you can.
Being president is sort of like winning the lottery, but in reverse. You accept the blame for everything that happens during the next 4 years, and sometimes you get to take credit for a few things... then you ride the gravy train down to your grave. Anyone who believes that the president alone can fix "Our government is in a dysfunctional state. It is also illiterate when it comes to technology." is already drinking the cool-aid. It takes a president, a congress, and state politicians working together to effect change, and nobody's been able to round up that crowd in a few decades now.
I think you completely missed the GP's point... which was that we craft our fiction to reflect our reality. As a society we do, in fact, love vigilantism. Even if we do outwardly claim to despise it.
IANAL - especailly not a Swedish one, but can't they get a conviction in absentia, assuming they have enough evidence? Not that I'm rooting for that, but I guess it sounds to me like they really don't have much on the guy.
Watch later, subscribe to a channel, I log in because I like those features... I don't really care so much that they integrate the accounts. But I can see how it would be a pain for someone without a g+ account, so I'm a fan of the change.
I love that you think that when someone freaks out in a doctors office, someone just grabs a syringe takes a pull off the nearest vial of clear liquid... and jabs it into the screaming person... Hollywood style!
That's total bullshit though. Powerful sedatives are tightly controlled, kept in locked containers, -and I'm amazed I'm even saying this out loud it's so obvious- must be dosed specifically for the patients weight. No doctor in their right mind (see what I did there?) would take such reckless action.
Yeah, BadHorseWare sounds better.
Another great quote from Benny F: When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.
How do you know it was YOUR tax dollars? For all we know, it was MY tax dollars, and I'm fully in support of this research... </sarcasm>
Lol +1

Yeah... the sand worms!

Bitch Please....

Technically it's the second oldest profession...
Trump is the Democrat's stealth MVP. The goal here is to disrupt the Republicans from within and capture the government completely.

I guess I should have said: "You're premise for running for false, and is not a socialist platform, and you won't get elected."
If the system IS rigged, you haven't greased the right palms, and therefore won't be elected.
If the system IS NOT rigged, you're premise for running is false, and you won't be elected.
You're a looser either way.
Twice in the same thread I've pined for mod points... that bash.org link is hilarious!
THIS111
I wish I had mod points... Also, the assumption that the caps lock key isn't being used because it is pressed infrequently is disingenuous.

This!
A former boss of mine (who used to work in newspaper) once told me: "Never start a war of words with someone who buys ink by the barrel."
Don't forget to count the fraction of voters with significant _investments_ in the oil and gas industry...
yeah, you'd hurt your toe.
Grass is a living thing... you insensitive clod!
