Actually, since we all live on the same planet, your opinion does count.

Impeaching the president would be a very good thing to do as it would show the rest of the world that the American people are not cowboys bent on world domination. It would serve to teach our politicians to quit sticking their noses in other countries business.

We Americans have much to atone for from what was done by this administration. Cleaning out the trash is a excellent first step to repairing our reputation.

Hey, I ended up being a scientific experiment AFTER I was born:
Open Heart Surgery #1 - Had a Dacron patch sewn over the VSD in my heart and they tried to rebuild the aortic valve using grafts from the inside of my heart (valvoplasty). The new "cusps" of the aortic valve fell apart about 30-days later.

Open Heart Surgery #2 - Had a very bad case of bacterial endocarditis to the point that the surgeon had to scrap out the inside of my heart. VSD patch had to be replaced; an experimental patch was used. A porcine valve (Hancock Prosthesis) was inserted into the aortic opening. The anesthesist had to use an experimental drug to get my heart restarted.

Open Heart Surgery #3 - Hancock Prosthesis calcified during growth spurt when I was 16; replaced by a St. Jude's artificial valve which was still experimental, at the time.

Personally, I would have preferred that the doctors could have made a minor change in my DNA before I was born so I wouldn't have had to go through all of the above.

As someone with a congenital heart defect and damage to the Sinoatrial node http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinus_node of my heart, this scares the piss out of me. Letting a company use the courts to legislate that their product doesn't cause or contribute to the death of people it's used on turns logic on its head. The last thing I want is some idiot with a taser to zap me with it just because I won't bow to his demands.

This should scare you, too. There are about 90 million people http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/heart.htm in the U.S. alone who have a diagnosed heart conditions that range from mild to severe. Add to that people who have not been diagnosed, yet have a heart problem, one-third to one-half the U.S. population could be susceptible to cardiac arrest if they are tased.

I hope the doctors and scientists find iron-clad evidence so that this issue can be put to bed and tasers will be considered the lethal weapons they are.

We've all been children at some point in our lives and we can all remember times when we were told, "Don't do that! Don't touch that! You're going to poke your eye out! etc...". Of course, our parents were trying to protect us from getting hurt due to lack of knowledge on our part. I still see this pattern of behavior between parents and children today via my nieces and nephews. Additionally, I see my in-laws trying to protect their children from every little disaster and they can't understand why their kids still get hurt or in trouble.

One thing I've figured out from observing this is that we can try to instruct children on being safe, right and wrong, etc but, in the end, sometimes they have to learn things the hard way and deal with the repercussions of their actions.
