I remember when all that prescription drug advertising began and I knew it was a bad idea in 1997 and it still is today. Way too many patients walk into a doctors office demanding and getting a drug they've heard about regardless if it is the best option.
>refused to let open source people build them out on their own by letting in on the secret sauce.
Or you know couldn;t because of licenses they have for certain tech in their products. That is why you have binary blobs for the official linux drivers and not source. Neither Nvida nor AMD own all the IP used in their video cards and thus cannot legally distribute the source for their drivers.
No, when you make a claim it is up to you, the writer, to provide the sources. Telling others to look up your shit is lazy and lame and a good way to get a failing grade.
You seem to be giving the republican party a free pass on this even though they voted for it, and not one of them is supporting this move to repeal it.
Do you have a source for this? I do like the fact that they are trying to close the loophole before it is implemented but I can find little to back up your claim.
Which is their stated policy. Personally I see this as some dissatisfied tech who planned on trying to access the phones later for pics and credit card numbers.
Sprint support staff gave him several reasons. I took that to mean the call center jockeys. It does not seem like it was Sprint Corporate telling him that, it was more like barely trained support staff who probably don't even know what MDM is. We also know it was a tech who manually installed it so the whole pre-installed claptrap was obviously pulled out of someones ass. I would not be surprised if some tech was installing it on many phones knowing it would give him access at a later point. And no Sprint is not going to admit that until they absolutely have to.
When Sprint has policies in place that actually forbid that action without a customer request. Isn't it more likely you have an unethical tech who is looking for future access to phones?
I liked this comment in the thread "One forgets the W in SJW at their peril. They view it as a war, and all is fair"
My only reply to that would be, they don't call themselves warriors, that's your term for them, so who again views it as war.
There is a big difference between marketing to doctors and marketing directly to the consumer.

You should really not be giving legal advice. Laws on identification vary by state. and not all of them allow for verbal id.

Yep there was a stupid comment alright.
What the fuck are Constitutional rights? The constitution has never granted you rights.

You said it much more eloquently then I. Thank you.

And it took Apple to take it mainstream, reducing it's security in the process. So it kinda falls into what Linus was saying.
So your not an engineer.
>Why would you ever answer the phone anyway?
Because I am an adult.

I was claiming malice on the part of the tech hence the term unethical.

It really looks like a dentists chair. I dread work enough I don't need flashbacks of drilled teeth to haunt my day.
You guys still have't figured out upscaling?
That's it I'm building the doomsday device. How do you like 2057 now.
Or what happens when samsung or panasonic or who ever stops updating your blu-ray firmware?

Amorphous metal is not glass, it has glass-like properties but that does not make it a glass.
