Sure, you added a few of the legal caveats. What did you say that refuted his point?
"But don't let your TV cartoon legal lesson hold you back..." was a completely unnecessary attack on someone you were basically agreeing with. Learn to debate without resorting to insults and your arguments will be more effective. Otherwise your just another asshole on the internet.
People did not vote on this. We are not a direct democracy. Our representatives voted on this, all of them, regardless of how you, their constituents, feel about it. Why? because we are no longer a representative democracy. We are rapidly shifting to a representative oligarchy where, regardless of who you elect, they do the bidding of those who paid for their seat.
The perception of corruption was the reason behind our campaign reforms, but with the current Court now limiting it to direct quid pro quo all those restrictions become unconstitutional, and all your votes become meaningless.
With a warrant, sure not unreasonable at all. Without a warrant? that's where you start getting into problems. Do you really think the government should be building a database of it's citizen's movements in a supposed free society?
Because that is what citizens of the United States of America are called. It is what they have been called historically and it is what they will continue to be called. In fact we are the only country with America in our name.
And the Polynesian Islands were populated before Europe had boats. Your Eurocentric view is blocking you from seeing that explorers predate Columbus and made ocean crossings long before and without any backing from major wealth sources. We are talking BC thousands of years prior to Columbus' little voyage.
That's not quite accurate. I mean the bit about Columbus is, but remember Columbus was not the first person to cross the Atlantic. Eric Thorvaldsson (Eric the Red) reached Newfoundland without the backing of the crown and did it long before Columbus was conceived.
Actually they have lost nothing yet as this has not gone to trial. I am sure this judge's comments will be used either to force his recusal or to get a pretty instantaneous appeal.
Considering that ISP's have only been classified as Title 2 since this year (something they fought tooth and nail against) your comment rings somewhat false and naive. You want to know how they feel about common carrier status, then read about the FCC decision. It's all out there. Why do you think the DMCA had the safe harbor provision, because ISP's were not common carriers. Also I am not sure how not working with Rightscorp is somehow disregarding common carrier, wouldn't it be embracing their common carrier status?
This, This why his law suit should go nowhere. To sue for damages one has to show they were financially damaged. Good luck proving that a full scholarship is somehow a financial hardship.
You are remembering it wrong. California had almost twice the power generation capacity as it needed. It was Enron and others that took plants offline and manipulated the market to increase the price of energy 800%.
Back before the Medallion system, cabs actually clogged the roads in NYC making it difficult for emergency vehicles to move around. It is in fact the whole reason for the medallion system. And they do increase the number of medallions when needed, in 2009 the number of medallion was increased to 13,237 from 11,920.
There are three classes of FHV (For Hire Vehicles) service in New York City: Community Cars (aka Liveries), Black Cars, and Luxury Limousines. For-hire service must be arranged through a TLC-licensed base and performed by TLC-licensed drivers in TLC-licensed vehicles.
Uber drivers and their cars are not TLC-Licensed so no Uber does not follow the rules.
No they don't NYC has many regulations regarding cars for hire, Uber does not follow any of them. Commercial licenses for the drivers. Medallions for the cars.

USPS is hardly "government funded", The USPS is funded by the sale of postage.
If UPS is driving 60 mph in your neighborhood you might want to file a complaint. Speed limits around my house are 25mph.
South America is not a country idiot.

Do they? In a city? Most of the apartment buildings I have lived at have had little or none green space.

Quick fix. Sorry it was Leif Erikson, his son that made it to Canada.

And Vizio, who is being sued over this.
Hope your happy sharing what you watch and whats on your network with Vizio, Cognitive Networks, and whoever else they share it with.
Anonymous has always been a joke.

Probably as deliberate as Bush/Cheney when they fucked around in Iraq and broke it.

I have made the opposite argument in the past, and I was wrong. In NYC it seems Uber is following the TLC regulations/

Except the cab companies did not create the monopoly, that was the medallion system created by the legislature.
Uber is eating their lunch due to the fact that Uber does not follow the regulations imposed on cab companies.
