Seriously the man's a master of selective facts. The real story is that while the troops didn't see all the explosives they didn't search the vast compound either.

Lastly you can't point to one of his policies (vouchers) and a highly controversial one at that and say X is the friend of Y. You have to look at a president's total record which we are NOT doing here.

I'm simply saying that this development doesn't jive with good campaigning. While bush may possibly have an 18% black vote nationwide, in florida the story is different:

If the Democratic primaries are any indication, Kerry has little to worry about. In multiple states, he exceeded Mr. Clinton's turnout among blacks. In Florida alone, Kerry earned 81 percent of the black vote versus Mr. Clinton's 74 percent in 1992.

So no, the Democrats aren't losing their appeal, the repubs are just sucking less.

Furthermore, the fact that the document contains the names of not just black, but also traditionally democratic areas makes me think that this is more than just a get out the bush message effort. If it were black voters alone, you'd have a point.

Bandwidth costs money too. Most people don't care about upstream speed. Let's say our network has 40 users. Let's say that for every person who cares about upload speed (likely telecommuting geeks and those who run their own servers) there are 30 people running eDonkey / Kazaa. Those 30 people don't care if their uploads are capped at 2mbps. The techie might, but he'll live with it or buy a better plan if he really needs it. This way people don't waste tons of upstream bandwidth.

Besides, where are the apps that use this kind of bandwidth anyway? When they're available and demand is created upstream caps will be lifted. Anyway bandwidth always gets cheaper with time anyway, expect this to happen regardless.

The conservative party has shown itself to be anything BUT conservative. Ask uber conservative pat buchanan who will tell you the party was hijacked by the neocons who didn't really have much favor until the current administration. Reagan and Bush I didn't really like them even.

I think that you're mistaking conservatism for the republican party, which has become incompetent and simply not conservative on anything but social issues. But even there, the current admin is so inept they can't formulate functioning policy (see the pork that is "Faith Based Initiatives").

And dont' talk about Zell Miller, a man famous for switching sides, and who, quite frankly, is an idiot.

Remember the job of the media is to report what is ACTUALLY HAPPENING, not "RNC says DNC says". The Daily Show is the only thing on the air right now actually doing this.

However, it's a goddamn comedy show, and even WITH all these problems it still manages to be more insightful and honest than other shows.

And as far as Stewart lobbing Kerry softballs, Stewart often times cuts guests slack. O'Reilly was recently on and both O'Reilly and Stewart had a great time with absolutely no vitriolic discourse. He sometimes does that with his guests, and it's his prerogative. It's a goddamn comedy show.

Additionally, you can call Stewart a hypocrite all you want, but even if it were true, it doesn't mean that he's not right about this.
