OK, asshole, he wasn't *complaining* about half the stuff you berated him for. And he didn't claim to be an expert, either. He was simply relating his experience on his one trip there. Give him a break. This was actually very interesting to someone like me, who would like to go, but may very well never get to.
Your argument is invalid. You say anything alive is animate; I'll give you that, but that does not mean that anything animate is alive. This being the case, inanimate does not mean "without life", and "a robot cannot be animate" is not true.
How hard would it be then to set up (say) my door locks at home to use my SpeedPass thinger to unlock my doors? Two less keys to carry around, and if I had my hands full, I could stick whichever pocket it's in close to the door to unlock (even open).
When I lived with three of my friends while in college, we signed up for phone service and got the full range of services free for the first three months or so...including voice dialing. However, it always worked best (sometimes only worked) when the key word(s) for a number was followed by 'bitch'; e.g. "pizza shop, bitch!"
A few different companies make and have made modified network cards that will do just thus under Windows...surely anything Windoze can do, Linux can do better! (right?)
Yes, it does; or rather, I have very recently thought about something similar: see my article about this. I have submitted it as well, so mayhaps we'll see it on the front page soon!

Correct; here is one such device, with a good explanation.
See my article about this...

...Think Geek lists this as the 1st edition, published in 2000. How can one read a book 10 years before it was published?
