Most people who can afford a PS2 can afford cable modem service. So unless they some how allow you to share it between PS2 and computer or vice versus, very few people are going to use the service. I love my PS2 but Sony will wreck its chance at online if it does not offer consumers an option.
That system would never fly, if you have to go to all that inconvience to watch a movie at a friends house, nobody would buy one. And how would this system deal with renting. Perhaps such a system could be used if 40,000 dollar software was involved, but its a movie, something that is enjoyed once, then watched again, when nothing else is on.
They can't, it would be horrible for PR and image if the people who sold you your first DVD player suddenly says what you bought was illegal. Would you buy another thing from them.
Boycotting will give them grounds to cry about. Rather then people seeing it is people boycotting they will blame it on filthy pirates. They are there for a reason, they are lowlife scum, the cream of the crop of big business. So boycotting gives them ammo, when you are boycotting, write to you local papers, and congress men, MP's or what ever saying you are boycotting, that way we can say that Napster is not hurting them, but thier bad tactics.
am scared of Jean Createn, and his pepper spray. if you think corps are hurting you, check out www.globeandmail.com and see what our goverment is doing to its own people. Go Canada.
How long did it take you to right your little anggy speech, just so that everyone will ignore you completely. I read slashdot to bitch about crap like this, not defend it. And I hate the Lemmings, they are so gdamn annoying, without them we would not have Brittney Spears, Eminem, or any other corprate puppet. Unfortunatly in life, Lemmings have power in numbers, and simply don't walk off a cliff, they do once in a while, but thats cause Eminem said so, or Doom Made them.
As plesent as that sounds, that is really dumb. It would be nice to be able to send them a message that way, but it will acomplish nothing. We have to do it legally. They are following the laws they made, screwing us. So we have to screw them by making laws. Get involved, don't bomb them. If it does ever get to be like 1984, I will gladly thow in 500, but until then do damage legally. Go to a library, borrow CDs, buy second hand CDs, don't buy movies, rent them, or watch them on TMN, with a bunch of friends. That way you are still not breaking the law, but it hurts them.
Most people here are computer literate enough to build thier own system and save them selves hundreds of dollars over a prebuilt PC. Then rember macs for equivilent performace in anything other the Photoshop cost about 5 times a PC. So most people here would never think of buying a Mac.
The not being able to speak is a good thing in todays political areana. Now Jean Cretian can talk to Bush all day long, and never say anything. This means no promises, and if we here one, like Jean's scrapping the GST, he can simply say we misunderstud him. Next time i say we vote for an illerterate blind man, or maby a cat and see if Canada is run any differently, maby the cat won't ignore or rights and pepper spay and tear gas innocent people.
It runs full speed on a AMD K6-2 (the 29.99 one) with 64 megs of ram and Geforce MX. This game could have been but the programmers where to good. Most people would have needed a 800Mhz machine, but it is effecent enough to run on a 400 dollar system. Black and White runs better on my system then Unreal Tournement, so it is not the killer app for an upgrade, maby a increase in ram, but that is all.
You are right to a point, it was called the Playstation PS, note the missing X for what we call the PSX. They are seperate and completely different. The PS you speak of never arrived.
It was perfect product placement, after getting hit with the billboard, and dying, the next time you would watch the billboard to see it was going to fall. Plus a Pizza Ad in TMNT made sense because the ate pizza, a coke add in a medievil game makes no sense and is just retarted. Ads are just dandy if the dont subtract from the game. And Oh Yeh, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rocked, now I just need a GBA version of TMNT
The borg survives by assimilating, they will see our planet controled by Microsoft Products, they will assimilate Microsoft Code and then the Borg will go down hill. They would have to rebuild the cubes every few months for no reason, just to keep of with the newest version of Borg XP. Parts of the Borg will attack themselves, causing the cube to lose its scary grey metal to take on the blue screen of death motif. The new cube will return to the Borg colony and be completely incompatable with everyother cube, it will spred viruses like mad, destroying the borg way of life, changing from a collective to seperate conflicting thought, then they will recive the licencing agreement, which will cause the end of the Borg, the we will cheer for Bill Gates for making such crap, but then he reveales himself as the new Borg Kind, Embrace and Extend.
The space fungus, from what i have read was simply a earth based fungus, but because of the conditions, humid and warm and inclosed it was allowed to spread rapidly and rampently, allowing for a great enought mass of fungus to do damage, so perhaps you already have it growing in your back yard.
The sad thing is almost everything we run on our superfast new computers, other then the 3d games worked fine on a 486. A good example is that a Pentium 2 333 was not ten times faster in real life then a 486/33, excel to 2 seconds instead of 7 to load up, but during the actual work not much different. And I have a palm color and my 486/25 with 4 megs of ram could do a hell of a lot more. Palms are toys simply put, not a real computer, because if they were who would have a desktop or a lap top.
It would likely be the speed of sound in air, because the speed of sound is water is much higher then that of the speed of sound in air. So the sonar would still travel fast enough, you just might have a hard time catching the signal.
It is quite possible to make a good one, Neo Geo Pocket has one, and it worked for all types of games, but it was not analog, but the design was there, if you implement a similair style, but with analog you could have a winner, good for all types of games. The coolest feature of the joypad, was for PacMan you could install a motion limiter that made it only move in 4 directions, just like the arcade.
Why Why did it have to Die
Mario 2 was a fun game, most people were just scared of the change, Mario 4 aka Super Mario World is a much better game, Mario 3 was better then 2, but it was still a fun game, I love Nintendo, but why did they have to go and kill the NGPC
I hate the idea of HDTV, until this came to light. I am all for better picture quality and better sound, but how many people wanna spent the 3000+ dollars on a new HDTV, only to have to spend more on a bloody decorder box. Its not to late, if everyone aproaches the powers that be, we can force the better idea through, giving tne people that want it thier HDTV and leaving the rest of us alone. I will definitly not pay people more bloody money to get a better tv picture, because most of the good stuff on TV, is either reruns of 70's and 80's shows, or Survivor, where nither will get any better with increase resolution. Why not rather then complain about new standards, or submitting snide remarks, we contact who ever is responsible for this expensive waste of money and force this standard to be adopted.
It has usb, and some games already support usb keyboard and mouse like Unreal Tournment, so if a game can work with why couldn't linux. Plus the PS2 is not a Konami product.
Just locate them in a empty area. The desert is prime for that. If it misses, we loose a few cacti.

Its from The Princess Bride, get some culture.

Same thing happened to my friend, was not suspended only kicked out of the class.

The power glove was damn cool, I would love to play quake with one, you would feel like the borg.

The Battery Life Is Supoed To Be About 15 Hours, Nothing Like My 40 Hours OF the NGPC, But Still Damn Fine, dont ask about the caps, felt dumb
