Why cant it just check the internal clock, on the mother board, the one powered by the battery.

  2. Re:Return policy? on Clock Ticking For Australian PlayStation Chippers · · Score: 1

It should be free, it should be at there expense. People were quite happy to back up there games themselves, but SOny complained, so it should be them who pays everthing.

  8. I could see this program working for drugs on Voices From The Hellmouth Revisited: Part Ten · · Score: 1

Now if they really wanted to have a call in line, turning in you class mates, why not use it for drugs. Metal profiling is something kids are not capable of doing, as opions of people are greatly swayed by there popularity. Drug use on the other hand requires no profiling, simply, Drugs Yes/No Once a child is singled out, its impossible to detect if he/she is going to go on a killing spree, simply because he played Quake. Testing for drugs though is much easier. It also returns a definite answer. This drug testing would provide so many benifites, including slowing the drug trade, increasing public safty and fix other problems. So why wont the goverment do something positve once.

  9. Re:Revenge of the Nerds on Voices From The Hellmouth Revisited: Part Ten · · Score: 1

We have to use a common definition. I have always under stood that nerds and geeks were smarter then the others, but did not conform to the ideal views of the class mates. The dweebs were the kids who were not only not part of the group, but were dumb, wether from drugs, inbreeding or just bad genes. If we follow these guid lines, post will be relivent under the correct heading.

  10. Re:Media Levy is Nothing New. on France To Tax Blank Computer Media · · Score: 1

The levy does not aply to all blank CDs only Audio Quality, thats why they are so expensinve 5 for like 20 bucks (just a guess) Instead of 50 for 34 bucks. Prices in Canadian. Its actually an interesting naming, because audio requires a lot less quality then data thats why music cds are 100 megs bigger when burned. In Canada we have two options, pay more for the cds, or pay more up front and get a recorder that supports more then audio quality cd.

  11. Re:any one know about PS2's? on Is Sony Turning Its Back On CD-Rs? · · Score: 1

Yup, it works fine with my ISo audio cds, but wont work with the Winoncd 3.8 MusicAlbum, simply because of stupid copy protection.

  12. Ps2 does Cdr, but wont allow them to acces DVD on Is Sony Turning Its Back On CD-Rs? · · Score: 1

I tried Winoncd 3.8 MusicAlbum, it stores 7 hours of music on a normal 650 mb cd. I was real excited but when i popped it into my PS2, expecting it to work, I got a screen saying use Ps1/PS2 disc. Now will this lack of support for non-original DVDs prevent them from playing homemade DVD (non-css) once they become popular. It will work with burnt music (normal 1 hour stuff) but not the DVD, and it uses only one laser, so it must not be a laser problem, simply Sony being basterds.

  13. I wan't to upgrade to Linux, but my Nic wont work. on Whistler "Anti-Piracy" Tools Tie OS To Machine · · Score: 1

Many users would love to upgrade to Linux, but there just is not driver support for what we need. I have to have my system as a router for my family, but the Nic that works with my modem, does not have drivers for Linux. For Linux to be sucsessful they need to have drivers for all the hardware. Maby this will be the push to get manufactures to support Linux, and let in a whole new group of people.

  14. Re:What about the DMCA? on CPS-2 Encryption Scheme Broken · · Score: 1

FinalBurn's maker had nothing to do with the deincription of the roms, just has a Cps2 emulator, its the Cps2hack that has to worrry, but Capcom is not dumb, and are already screwing people with this copy-protection scheme, which renders 5 year old boards useles, so they wont complain. Plus to safe guard them selves the people releasing these games are only releasing old ones.

  15. The name X-box on First Looks At XBox · · Score: 1

From what I know of the English language the ex- prefex is used to mean, no longer, such as ex-wife. Now with the title X-box, sould it not be nolonger a box. If they did what to keep it square the could have called it X-ball, or X-pipe, X-teapot (just to reach out to all those 3dsMax users). And the green ball thing, what a waste of space on a controler. It would be great if the put it in as trackball, so you could use it as a mouse, because it just looks like it ads mass and cost. Plus is the design not copyrighted by Dreamcast or any other controller they ripped off. I may buy it still, I did the same thing with Ps2, cut it up, called it crap, but now i am loving ever minute of it(except for loading times).

It is not flamebate as it is most likely true. He does not have a girlfriend, has been on the net since seven. Which means he has been exposed to porn since seven, because the first thing you do on the net is look for porn as a child. So it is quite likely that after his bed time snack he takes a break and "relaxes".
