Isn't that exactly the point of the poster? If Netgear throws some switches, and cool gear at the university for thanks, then maybe they won't even bother going to court to sue for damages. Seems like it would be worth the effort for Netgear, cosidering it would be cheap, and also great publicity. Even if they end up suing for damages, Netgear is still OK, because they look like nice guys willing to correct their mistakes.
2 Mhz was only on the C= 128 and the 40 column video switched off for that. The 80 column video worked just fine at 1 Mhz and 2 Mhz. If you switched off the C= 64 video you got a small boost, but it wasn't even close to double. The number that sticks in my head is some where between 5-15%. And the processor speed never actually increased. I think it just stopped getting interupts from the video chip, until you told it to turn back on.
Yeah, totally right. Just look at that stupid company Microsoft that put out their first OS, QDOS? Quick and Dirty OS. Talk about a bad business move. Imagine how much richer Bill Gates could be today if he had only taken a few years to write a perfect from the ground up OS that would be easy to support and modify for the future. Something like BeOS maybe. That would be cool.

I can just picture somebody losing the portable RFID reader. (Maybe your remote or keys can track down the RFID reader...) I think the idea of having a base staion is a good idea. Much harder to lose that way.
I used to have a key chain you could whistle for and it would, like go, "beep beep beep". Very handy.
It seems more fair to me to just have it be first come first serve. If you click the link first, you get in line for the movie first. If you reorder your list, you just stepped out of line, no cuts.
What seems odd to me is that they can't make a patch for NT4, because the system was changed so much between NT4 and 2000 (for improvements, no less), yet they all happen to have the same vulnerability. Hmm. That sounds like the systems might be sharing something in common...
I know it's possible that the rewrite reimplemented the same bug, but it doesn't seem likely.
Mozilla has it, I'm using it right now. The only annoying thing I find with it, is that if you have two (out of three) of your home pages open and you click home, you get another three tabs. It would be cool if there was an option to only load the pages you didn't already have open.
Just go download ettercap from freshmeat.net and sniff the packets yourself. It was designed to work on switched networks. Easy way to prove the point.
Funny thing is, it's also supposed to break HTTPS as well, but I haven't tried it for that.
What do you mean you can't switch resolutions on the fly? I just setup the resolutions I want in X config, and then use (CTRL ALT +) or (CTRL ALT -) to cycle through them. (You probably already have a bunch defined and you don't know it.) I use it all the time when I want to switch from my normal resolution (1280x1024) down to something bigger (800x600) to show somebody something without them having to squint.
I do think we need some kind of propertie page type of thing like Windows, Mac, etc have that can control resolutions with a GUI. (There may already be one, but I just don't know about it...)
Does it have the most requested feature of adjustable cod pieces?
I was just disappointed when I found out EMF didn't stand for what we all think it does. One of their song had lyrics that went like:
E - Ecstasy
M - Mother fucker, Mother fucker
F - From us to you
I went from thinking they were maybe a little geeky to knowing that they picked the name cause it sounded cool. Sorta like AC/DC.
This proves that BSD is dying, right? ;)
Whatever, I think this will end up being the SUV of chip to chip conections. ;)

You forgot the best part. It's also type safe!
They're also very sharp! They break into pretty wicked pieces.
I think this is really just a bunch of SCO utilities that IBM just copied and released. ;)
1. Video capture card
2. Upload to Freenet for "safe" keeping
3. ???
4. Profit
I wonder if the DRM stops people from pissing on the Pee-Cee...
It's much more likely that there is some Linux kernel code in weapons of mass destruction... ;)
They compliment the "Amiga is still Alive" stories quite nicely, don't you think?
;)
In fact, I hear the next Amiga is going to be coming out on the PPC 970.

Yeah, you wanna to buy my K6-3 450? ;)
I thought it was just the Chinese that were good at forging.

They do have the schematics.
I don't get it: Why would anybody want to not maximize his browser windows?
Just in case you haven't heard enough reasons:
Because I have two monitors, and when I maximize the browser it covers them both.

Gimme my brick back! I thought you had it you dirty thief! And while I'm here the paperboy wants his $2!
