    Flash point, the lowest temperature at which a given liquid will ignite. Gasoline for example ignites at -43 C or -45 F. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_point
    I think you may have meant "point or source of ignition" but your statement makes no sense. I just pased my Firefighter Level 1 (nfpa 1001). There is lots of science and studies behind investigating fires. Perhaps you are confused between something you saw on a movie and something you heard in real life.

    Umm I did fry my computer $3000 down the crapper. I did manage to get it to work for a month that is why I switched to mineral oil. BTW my parents had a distiller so it was easy to get the water.

    And I was using a mineral oil bath (bar frige guts were used to keep the oil cool) to cool my over clocked Pentium. HDD, optical drives and power supply sat on a grate at the top of the coleman cooler and every thing else was submerged. I even did it with distilled water for a bit but it was to hard to keep the water clean.

    Some of them do but you can buy cheaper models if you want. Mine cost $80 (old stock discontinued model but new phone). But you already knew that. So go back to your bridge.

    Apple should focus on bringing the best product to the market not the most expensive. Many people buy Samsung because you don't have to drop $600 on a phone. Apple is on its way to being the biggest patent troll in history.

    Or you can figure out the ISP of the person attempting to break in. A phone call to the ISP's admin at 3AM their time with relevent details seems to be quite effective especially if it is a reoccuring problem resulting in repeat 3AM phonecalls to the opposite side of the globe.

    More realistically my entire familly uses the computer in the living room, that is two children and two adults, baby can't use the computer yet. So no I'm not interested in Dora the explorer or Fireman Sam.

    Get off your ass head down to the bookstore and browse the shelves. People buy books online because it is easy to do so from the mothers basement in your underwear. And if you are engaged in that sort of behaveour you will not have anyone to inherit your stuff so its a non-issue. I preffer to grab a large double-double head down to the store enjoy myself and sometime I meet people that I can have inteligent conversations with, people that have the same interests I do.

    I still have my Soundblaster Live its in a box with my Diamond Monster II just because they were so cool and in case my onboard sound craps out but i don't want to use it in case I break it (to many memories of Quake related sounds from that SC).

    Those big plexi glass windows some people have (i got a box that has one to) really suck is you have any kind of radio transmitting in the house. Has something to do with the steel case shielding your box and also preventing your box from interfering with other devices and you computer is grounded through the power supply so AC has a point.

    it would be on a cheap video card before a sound card. I never bought any sound cards after they started puting them on the mobo. Sure the sound could be better but I have a stereo for playing tunes and if i'm playing games at night I'm using headphones anyway. A better soundcard is a non-issue for most users.

    Would you rather all the teenage kids use Win 8 or OSX? Maybe a few will think its cool and look a little further under the hood. People don't really use Ubuntu on any machine other than what amounts to toys do they. I'd freak if I found out my banks computer systems ran off Mint for example.

    I don't use Unity or any of the buntus or derivatives. Also see above post. My 3 year old kid doesn't like Openbox.

    Keyboard shortcuts help alot and so does a trackball. If I have anthing important Slackware or Debian to the rescue. But face it most computers are for games or internet access. My 3 year old can log in to the computer (3 letter pasword on kids account) and play SuperTux better than me his needs and his babysitters needs are not my needs. And Firefox looks just as good from Gnome 3 as it does from any other DE.

    Fedora was the first to jump on Gnome 3. They should work on getting the kinks out instead of trying to go back in time or trying to be a crappy Mint wannabe with no codecs. My boxes have been geting switched over to Mageia (from F 16 & 17) because fewer updates and more stable with Gnome 3.
    If you take away Gnome 3 and Unity you will lose alot of new linux users. New users want something cool and flashy not something that looks like a clone of Windows from years past.
