  2. Re:...and on SSD Manufacturer OCZ Preparing For Bankruptcy · · Score: 3, Interesting

They had loads of issues with their early drives for a few years.

They got rid of the CEO, and changed their approach to quality, but it was too late. Their Vector drives are pretty decent, but they had no one to buy them.

  3. Re:Is this the same OCZ that sells memory? on SSD Manufacturer OCZ Preparing For Bankruptcy · · Score: 4, Insightful

They used to sell memory, but the margins could support their high rate of rma replacements, so they gave up.

I'm surprised they never turned around their rather cavalier approach to QA since it cost them a lot of money for years and years.

  9. I wonder where I've been. I've never heard of Patch until I read it here just a few minutes ago.

Also, the CEO was an unprofessional cock. There were 9000 other, better ways to handle the firing of that employee. This was the wrong way.

The tax payers saved Tesla from the brink of oblivion, not Musk. Nearly half a billion dollars, at that.

Except that anyone buying AMD won't be getting any of their x86 stuff because there's a lot of cross-licensing with Intel that won't get transferred on a sale.

Anyone who buys AMD at this point will only be getting their GPU division, unless by some miracle the purchaser works out a licensing deal with Intel for x86 stuff. Fat chance.
