Hey now, at least Fox News released a statement telling you what is actually "News" and what is not. HuffPo is just all editorials that say they are news.
I fail to see how women being driven out of engineering jobs is keeping women form playing videogames. As for your first link, they throw out a lot of percentages, but they lack one huge, core thing - What are the percentage of female graduates from STEM fields? With the companies that they are getting on their case about hiring percentages, they fail to realize that the percentage of female graduates is only 20% of all STEM bachelors holders. So technically, they are pretty damn close to hiring what graduates from schools. I mean, if these numbers were closer to 5%, yeah, that would be a problem, but when 20% of STEM graduates are females, and the women working in STEM fields is around 20% at these companies, it seems like everything is where it should be.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and just say that if you are taking how you get modded too seriously, you probably need to back off the internet and get some fresh air.
Sorry for the double post, but you are aware that there have been multiple, massive ethics breaches that have been uncovered. The movement is not related to a solitary event that you seem to think it has. And if we are talking about the same thing, nobody has ever refuted what was said. Taking the side you are taking in this also makes you a rape apologist.
And since when is social justice a bad thing? It is just laughable when people think "social justice warrior" is an insult. You do know that justice is good, right? And that people who fight for something good are seen as... good people?
The only console I'm considering buying right now is a PS4, due to Arc System Works not releasing anything on PC besides outdated versions of their fighting games... and KH3 if it gets released. I play mostly ARTS games right now (DotA and HoN are what I main), so switching to console for what I enjoy doesn't really seem to be in the future. I wouldn't mind playing FPS on a bigger screen and not huddled over my desk, though. I might enjoy it more on a big TV. I'm just too lazy to hook my PC up to it.
There also is the possibility that Linux gaming might finally mature, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
Seems like it's supported to me, since it's on Sony's page. Granted I've never used either so I can't confirm/deny the Analog spoofing.
If you have used a Xim adapter, or something like it, you would understand why the analog spoofing is kinda a big thing I'd not want to see. They give more precision than a controller, but it takes a long time to get used to the quirks of using it.
Again, the Bass shoes that I bought have really strong soles, and are super comfortable. I spent 6 months in these shoes walking around a hospital or standing at a work station fixing it. The hospital was one of the huge medical centers, and it was like a half mile (or more) to just get to the other side of the building, and I was consistently walking everywhere. While it may not be a very long distance like some people's commute, I did put a ton of wear on the shoes and they are still going strong.
On Windows 8.1 Pro N, they had generic drivers for my WiFi card (some TrendNET POS card). Back in the day, I would agree with you that the Windows generic drivers were total trash, but with Win 8.1, it seems to be much better.
We'll see if they get actual support. The only time I'll move this goalpost is to say that when using keyboard and mouse, that the Mouse is read like an actual mouse, not Analog spoofing like a Xim adapter does. While they are quite nifty, the precision isn't there.
Also, I never said I'd be giving them money, I said we could have the discussion of moving to consoles as a major gaming platform.
No, not exactly. There is still a repository of generic drivers for things (as well as specific drivers). We had to use the option you listed above on the machines at a hospital I worked at a few years back due to an extremely slow connection to Microsoft. Basically, you could plug in a keyboard, and it would search Windows Update for 5 minutes before being able to use it. So when that option was checked, instead of getting "Dell 104 Key USB Keyboard" with a nice little picture of it, you get "Generic USB Keyboard" installed, and it works just fine.
Leather shoes are uncomfortable unless they are the $400 kind or kind that become unwearable after 50 miles.
You need to learn to shop for shoes. I got a pair of Bass slip-on dress shoes for $60. Had them for about a year now, and they are still super comfortable and have no problems with the soles or anything else (like some of the other cheap brands I bought did).
As we say, our biggest recruiters are AntiGG people. The complete intolerance for neutral or parties questioning the sides tends to push them to the ProGG camp.
I would like to say that majority of both sides are not even arguing the same topics here. GG is mostly about ethics in journalism and fighting the SJW plague that has taken over games journalism (that has been acting extremely anti-consumer lately). aGG is more about pushing for more diversity at the expense of everything in the industry. Both sides have people harassing eachother, but they are outliers, not the core group... the only thing is that there are a few high profile people on the aGG side that have publically doxxed people, where as its all been just random nobodies that have published doxx on the GG side.
Zoe, by her own definition, raped Eron. Had the genders been reversed, this would have been a completely different story. Now, we just have SJWs acting as rape apologists.
Nobody has been pushing that line besides the aGGros. Go ahead and read the whole thing and show me the exact part where he says that. I wont wait too long because its not in there. From the posting, people have put two and two together that she got positive coverage (an Indie game review where her game was prominently featured), but nobody was claiming she did it for good reviews.
For once, an AC has left my speechless.

Places like HuffPo and The Guardian still gamedrop at least once a week.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
That is exactly why people don't listen to the aGGros that much.

Speaking of Source 2, it should be released in full with some games at some point. Its already powering the DotA 2 Reborn client.

The generic drivers work well enough until you can go and get the drivers from the vendor, so I don't see what the big deal is for turning it off.

If you have a PS4 you can live without Windows games too.
When any console supports KB/M for FPS, we can talk about not using a Windows system for gaming. Until that time, I'll be on my PC.
Also, the 3x MSDN keys I'm using for my system (gotten from an IT Teacher) are all getting upgraded to Win10 Pro N. Zero money give to M$.
Not with Windows. Sometimes insanity is the only way to get a Windows machine or server running properly.
Before people come after me, No, I don't use Linux at home or in the work place. I work as a Windows SA.
Don't hate on Kilts.

Do you even read what you posted?
1) In all my time around GG, I've never even heard of that site.
2) That site is against MRA/MGTOW/PUA, and heavily against GamerGate.
Or did I completely miss something in your first post and you are actually ProGG?
As we say, our biggest recruiters are AntiGG people. The complete intolerance for neutral or parties questioning the sides tends to push them to the ProGG camp.
The fact that you just buy into what the media says is a precise example of why we can't have grown up conversations.
