IANAL, but a (tm) doesn't mean it's a registered trademark, for which (r) is reserved. A (tm) means ~ "we've thought about trademarking it, but haven't filed one yet".

I've once had the privillege of running win98 on my vintage p166/32mb, and compared to win95 it's 1) very slow and 2) very large (yes, 50mb really makes a difference on a 2Gb h.disk!). Also, win98 is more user-friendly compared to win95, which shows each time you try to access your c:\windows dir ('browsing this dir could be harmful! are you sure you want to continue?') The solution to this problem: spin up your win95 cd and install an OS which fits your pc.
Using free software simply enhances your productivity. Since the outcome of your productivity, the 'products' which you sell in the end, will surely be taxed, there is no point in taxing the free tools. Taxing the tools is complicated, taxing the products isn't...

under windows: don't reboot, just hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and kill netscape; this works fine with 4.75...
