I've heard great things about the Klipsch Promedia 2.1's.
I'm just trying to get them to Toronto, Canada. It seems klipsch.com only ships to the states, and all the regular sites (e.g. outpost.com) say "not for export". Also, I can't find a local dealer here. Anybody have any leads on these things in Toronto?
Interesting publicitiy day for Skydive DeLand. A veteran Canadian skydiver with over 4700 jumps died there today. And it seems several others have died recently. They're under FAA investigation.
There's still a bit of a problem. Iomega seems to have disowned the ZipPlus. You can't find it anywhere on their website. I hate companies that disown products.
I recently bought a leatherman wave and I love it. I think I'm going to buy a crunch to supplement it just for the locking pliers and integrated bit adapter socket.
When I was doing some research, I came across http://www.WoodNet.net/toolreviews/multi.html. It had a pretty good comparative review of the various options. Check it out.
You may want to consider a multitool other than the SOG pocket PowerPlier. I recently bought a leatherman wave and I love it. When I was doing some research, I came across http://www.WoodNet.net/toolreviews/multi.html. It had a pretty good comparative review of the various options. Check it out.
This is a big problem. Up here in Ontario, Canada the Professional Engineers of Ontario (our regulatory body) are in a big fight over companies using the term engineer in job titles, but not requiring their employees to have the P.Eng. certification.
It is in fact illegal to do so, but many companies (led by microsoft) refuse to cooperate. And it's difficult to sue microsoft. Even if they are blatantly violating the law.
So maybe an engineer (a P.Eng in Ontario) is what you're looking for.
I find that usually places consider Canada as equivalent (part of?) the US. For instance, US shipping only often means US and Canada. Of course, sometimes they really mean US ONLY, which is frustrating.
For those of us who have dsl, we mostly already have dealt with these issues. Either with integrated DSL routers, or linux gateways, or whatever. We just need an ethernet port and DHCP support in the device itself.
I recently got a similar computer: a DEC Multia VX51B-F3. It's a P100 with all the usual ports, NCR 53c810 SCSI, DEC DE435 ethernet, Floppy, 1GB IDE HD. All in a 12.5"x12.5"x2.8" case. It also has dual PCMCIA slots, which are great since I use the multia as a wireless/wired router.
Finding out anything about it was very difficult, as compaq seems to have disowned all non-alpha DEC products. Eventually I found a spec document on the DEC (compaq) site with their internal search.
I get most of the information I needed to install linux by just reading model numbers off of the chips (ethernet, SCSI).
There appear to be some companies which resell old equipment from major corporate accounts (DEC, HP, etc.) Perhaps one of them could help you out. Try www.d-c-p.com.
Anyone else find it amusing that the faq actually only tells you how to delete linux? For installing windows it only says "Install Windows 2000 or Windows NT."
So basically, you want the Matrix.
- Puzzle Bobble
- Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
- Mahjongg (the real game, not the Taipei solitaire thing)
Try them, maybe you'll like them too.Very nice. Subtle, too.
In case anyone didn't get it... look up the old pen and paper RPG Paranoia.
actually, his site (www.opensourcers.com) does validate as HTML 4.01 Transitional according to W3C

Check this site out:
http://www.panasoniccordless.com/
They mostly sell Panasonic phones, but they also like the EnGenius SN-920 for long range use.
I have a Panasonic KX-TG2550 Gigarange Extreme that I bought refurbished off eBay and it works great.
And I have a Webgear Aviator Pro 2.4GHz network that works right alongside it.
