Maybe they found the drugs in his tool box and seized the whole box as evidence. Or maybe they have evidence that he used drug proceeds to buy the tools. In the latter case, it would be the same justification they had for seizing the bitcoins.
There is no such mandate. If you want to trade goods for goods, the government will not interfere with that. However, if you use such trading to generate income, it's taxable just as if you had used cash. There are minimum wage laws, though and they exist to protect workers from exploitation and to prevent tax evasion.
That's different than pedophilia. People from an age of adolescence -- roughly 12 to 15 -- become sexualized by their biology more than anything else. During the next few and I mean FEW years they reach their maximum level of sexual interest and drive. They reach their peak of innate sexual interest, drive and fertility by the time they reach the age of majority. In traditional cultures, it would have been normal for kids that age to marry. Our biology is tuned to something other than the protracted adolescence that is normal in modern industrial cultures. Biologically, the most attractive persons are naturally those who have the greatest reproductive future ahead of them, so... young adults. A person aged 30 has already used up more than half of his or her (particularly so in the case of her) reproductive potential and is not as good a mate, biologically, as a 15 year old girl. An older person maximizes his or her chance of finding the best available mate by appearing as near as possible to the ideal reproductive age.
As an American, while in an abstract way I care what the French are doing to their people, my opinions are really only applicable to my own country - in other words, as far as NSA spying, what the French are doing is not relevant.
I supposed it's relevent to French people, but since when have Americans cared what French people think?
Shavano (Would you like some Freedom Fries with that?)
Sarcasm in general does not fare well in text media. As practiced in spoken language, there's a very significant component of intonation and body language. Of course it can be done and well in text media, but it's a skill most people don't have, like writing good expository prose.
If latest unification is a criterion, the modern United States of America is only 54 years old, and should we really be counting Great Britain, since it's an EU country and the EU added a new country this week.
Aren't they forgetting the Anschluss in 1938? Do we the independence date for France to 1944, when the Germans were kicked out and they got control of their coutnry back? When do you set a date for Italy? Unification in 1870, or with the establishment of the Roman Empire 2000 years earlier? How old is China? Was it established in 1949, 1919, 216BC or 2100 BC? How old is Egypt? 3 days, two years or 5000 years?
Just realized I said that the utter incompetence of the NSA had gone missing. Clearly the incompetence has been found is on full and embarassing display.
Then why are you arguing about whom they should sue? If your argument is they're trolls (a bizarre claim regarding university researchers) then whom they should be suing is an empty set.
In that case, BU should sue Toyo and Continental. Audi and Honda should not be part of the action (other than perhaps a heads up) at that point. Iff the suits against the manufacturer determine that there is infringement, future imports may be barred by the court but without liability to Audi and Honda.
Whoever IMPORTS THE INFRINGING PRODUCT is breaking the law. How is that not easy to understand? Toyo and Continental would be perfectly within the law to MAKE AND SELL THE PRODUCT in any jurisdiction WHERE THE PATENT DOES NOT APPLY. If you still don't understand, go read the law.
Please distinguish this from a hypothetical case in which BU had a patent on a new manufacturing process for car tires and such tires were being included on every car. Would Honda be free to keep importing the infringing tires because it bought the tires from Toyo? Would Audi be free to keep importing infringing tires because it bought them from Continental?
No, it is not like that at all. That would be like Boston University suing each individual customer who bought something that contains a LED. They're not doing that.
No they don't have to prove any such thing. They just have to prove that their patented technology is used to make the LEDs and that Your Name Here imported the LEDs. They can block import of any devices containing their patented technology. Ignorance of your infringement may cause the jury to be sympathetic and decide not to award large damages, but it won't prevent an import ban.
It has been possible to make all-plastic or almost-all plastic guns for decades. The reason they're made of metal is entirely for safety (of the shooter) and reliability. But it took some real machining skill to make a plastic gun in the days before 3D printers. The thing that worries security people (and makes lunatics cream their jeans with excitement) is that with a 3D printer, a complete dickhead with no fucking skills at all can now make a plastic gun that can be snuck past most security checkpoints.
Not enough detail in the article to say whether or not a plastic gun loaded with ammo can be detected at normal checkpoints.
And the final belly shaking laughter will come when people start getting popups that explain that unless they send some money to a certain account their internet connection will be cut.

They haven't banned cigarettes due to their being used to fund terrorism. We'll see.

No, Norris is so badass because his name is a contraction of Norse. Everybody fears the Norse.

You read everything as marijuana for somebody, don't you?
Welcome our new mice overlords
Can't wait for the human neural stem cells to be transplanted into mice.

Wait till they arrest you and charge you with being part of your father's brother's former roomate's plot to bomb his unfavorite place.
You left out Microsoft, Apple and Ubuntu from your list! :)
The First Amendment protects my right to make non-comprehensive lists, so shove off buddy.

This suit has nothing to do with the way our patent system is broken. Find another case.

As compared to what they do now, right?
There's an increase in the level of imbecility in the American public: http://now.msn.com/more-passengers-trying-to-take-guns-on-planes-says-tsa

I get notices like that from Comcast every month.
