EZ-Pass once was on ny.us, but they changed over to www.e-zpassny.com. They actually have online stuff instead of a link over to a form you have to snail mail...
I happen to like the sound of vinyl. Annoying to flip, but it can sound reeeeally good at times. I have a real high end stereo at home, and it makes a ton of difference.
would you actually expect someone like other than a friend to help you out in a big public forum like that, especially IRC? I think half of it stems to where there's a question on usenet...28 responses later are "me too!" all from AOL users...no one wants to listen...
IRC users are typical too involved with kick/ban scripts and more worried about who is running the #channel...
You'd have a better success finding info on your own if you try. Few years ago, yahoo was around. I always remember finding all the "HOWTO-" this and that. sure, it was more difficult a few years ago, but, give it another try now..
my first computer was a IBM PcXT doorstop. 4.77mhz, what blazing speed. I was 8 years old, staring at the "C>" prompt. Took awhile before I learned how to figure out dir and cd (ls and cd to you other guys);).
I just got fustrated, but finally figured out what was up..before you know it, i'm doing this for a living..
by 13 I was installing Slackware UMS-DOS for the first time (I know, late bloomer, but--hey)..
You have to want to take the time out to do something. Most users think "oh, a computer" and expect it to work as advertisted right out of the box, like it will be extremely simple. Computers aren't a Nintendo, you don't pop in a game, press power and go, its very complex, there's a tremendous amount of things that you can do with it, as long as you tell it to. But if you don't know what to tell it, well, your outta luck.
another problem is that, people know to go to an automechanic when there's something wrong with their car, because its highly available to the people, gas stations, and service centers...for computers, where do you go? No one knows how to find this information...It takes time to learn..
Like I said before, its not like a microwave, plug it in and you can cook all of a sudden..

This is generally how you can tell a good company from a bad company out. The companies that try to go out of the way and keep their drivers updated all the time, are the ones I ususally go for. Its like when you buy a computer product...You can get the cheapie sound card for $20, or you can get a Creative Labs card for $100+. Which works all the time? The Creative.
I have to admit, I hate Creative Lab's development team..I think they tend to be behind the times, but I'll always use their hardware..
eh...Good point-- not really the same though. The battle with office was, the only other thing out there was Word Perfect and the such..this is saying like "hey-- my copy protected software is better than your free stuff-- pay to use mine!"
only hope would be to make the sound quality better, but we know that won't happen.
Think of all the audio software that is finally supporting mp3s, now your going to have to pay for upgrades to use.nap files? blah
I agree that Windows Media Player blows.. Its in fact, so bad now, I hate to even load it up. Microsoft had a nice little version of it, and then they came out with the 6.1 or 6.4, and became this memory hungry monster...way too big and bulky to play back files quick...I'll stick with my winamp, thanks..
although I'm forced to use it for video files..I wish I could have the cut down version...
Well, I know that, if I make a cd from a bunch of mp3s...same album, same artist..and use 128, 160, and 192, I can tell the difference in my car, right away, and pick which is which bitrate..on the computer, since my speakers are pretty dinky, its harder to tell, but 192 always has nicer highs...
