  1. Apple ]I[ on Collecting Classic Computers · · Score: 1

A friend of mine had two Apple ]I[ (read 3) systems but was forced to bring the count down to a single one after he got married.

If only he had known about this, an Apple ]I[ may have been saved from the trash heap in the sky.

  2. Because on Distributed TiVo Code Cracking · · Score: 2, Informative

The TiVoCommunity Underground is unofficially approved by TiVo (in fact some posters are employees) and they don't want any problems with networks like Turner's or the MPAA.

I mean, TiVo has supported hardware network card hacks with newer versions of their software. Contrast this to other hardware manufacturers and you'll see why we respect TiVo's wishes and don't discuss certain topics.

  3. Re:this actually is a good thing. on Microsoft Buys Rare · · Score: 1

Heck, Super Mario Sunshine will probably sell more Gamecubes than Microsoft's entire stable of XBox-only games.

I don't know, Microsoft's Xbox-only games sold me on the Gamecube.

  4. Re: This could backfire on XBox Live Network · · Score: 1

Not every man, woman, and child under 50 would *want* an Xbox. After all, if they're given away to everyone, you couldn't exactly resell them.

And of course the M$ haters would find a way to install linux and hook up their CueCats to it.

  5. Re:I think that you're thinking of "Dark Angel" on Joss Whedon Is Creating a Sci-Fi Drama For Fox · · Score: 1

Angel is a spin off of Buffy. It's a darker, more angst-filled show and well worth watching. (not that BtVS isn't, mind you)

The mere fact that you've confused the shows means that you haven't watched it and should not criticize it.

  6. Re:PHB's like calendars on When Is Exchange Inappropriate For The Enterprise? · · Score: 1

Net Folders is a very problematic feature of Outlook. It has absolutly no way of being managed centrally, it sends large ammounts of (needless?) traffic through the mail server, and it occaisionally hangs Outlok forcing a deletion of a corrupt NetFolder update message at the server level. I swear that it's only purpose is to get users hooked on the idea of using Outlook for Calendaring forcing an eventual migration from mail server x to MS Exchange. Psykechan
