Microcrap attacking the GPL is just plane funney in my opinion. I have seen better products come from people using the GPL then from microcrap. They claim to be the best of everything, but are still not able to come up with fully working operating system. The window ME is a joke. And they say it is the best Os for the home user. Microsoft attacking the GPL to me is a joke. They can't figure out how to compete with the GPL so like the power hungers monopoly they are, they play unfair and try to get the US government to basically say the GPL is not valid. But the attacks are taking place correct. Will I got one good thing going fore me then I AM CANADIAN.
I believe that that's a lot of cash for no Internet access. But personally speaking Rogers service sucks and it's about as reliable windows. And we all know how good windows is. I have had one time were it took them 1 month to fix the problem. Why don't I go to another service provide? None for high speed in my area. But at least now someone is saying hay, Rogers, stop messing around and make the cable Internet work.
Personally I am on Rogers At home cable Internet in the grater Toronto area. I have had friends send me the address to news groups that they frequently visit. Because of Rogers filters, I am not able to even view them. So Excite@Home is not the first guy to do this.
Just wondering how international law would see this. Yes this guy is in a different country. Sure he is doing illegal stuff, but the FBI should try and work with the Russian government. But hey, who cares about an international incident.
But hey I am Canadian A, so who is going to stop the FBI some day from hacking my pc for say the mp3's I have stored on there.
So if the FBI is hacking into other peoples PC's then who is worse, the crackers, or the FBI.

Hey all, my opinion is that this is a great opertunity. Say he doe go up, then he becomes a pionear for comersical space travel Correct. Will all i hear is that the average man will beable to go into space some day. Will if its anything like the air planes of the 20's and 30's, then the rith have to go up first. Then the market becomes big enough to drop prices. So realy let him go up. Now here is the BUT, how do yu make NASA shut up and leave the guy alown.

Train the guy, set it up so he has a few eperements of somthing to run or somthing like that. He did work for nasa, so he has to be a smart man. Give him a little training in how to live in soace. No one said he had to learn how to fly the shuttle, just ride in it. So give him a few hours work per day and let him just relax and enjoy the view the rst of his time up there.

I am living up in canada. Now a friend here is part of a small band, he is maing a little money playing in bar,s and stough. He has been using napster to distribute his music. Free for the taking. Now the RIAA again comes in and if they get there wish, my friend might not be able to distribute his songs online through napster. This to me is will to say the least ilegial, controling the method of distribution of music. even tho my friend is not i the states, the RIAA wil beable to control one of the methods he uses to distribute music.

Reading the comments hre on the V-chip. And i find this one about a parent how is bashing slash dot readers saying we are young and don't know anything. Will granted I am 20 years old, and don't have children of my own. So my opinion will not mean much to this person. But then maby I should use the opinion of several parents I know including my own. My parents and several other parents thinkk the V-chip is for parents who are "lazzey". My parents in pitular beleave there is no sence trying t hide your kids from violence, sex and all that other stough out thee. But tht you should teach your kids what is right and wrong. So to who ever wrote the "lazy parents everywhere " (Score:5, Insightful), i think its greatt hat you want to teach your kids what is rigth and wrong, but realize that a v chip is a waste of time. and again i state

Ys I see you sa that u don't want to do this spaming thing, yet you are going along with this. Just up front and tell them that this is just wong.
but now here is were i geat mean, if you go along with this, and implement this, then you are no better then they are, If anything ask to be taken off the project, that ts against your morials. That way you don't lose your job, and you ar enot part of this problem
