    That may be how OTG was conceived but I never heard of anyone using it that way.

    People (including me) use it for USB keyboard, mice, hard disks, flash drives on phones or tablets which also act as removable media to a PC.

    When in office Condi supported warrentless wiretaps and so opposed the interests of the service that Dropbox provides to it's customers - secure storage.

    They have a right to question whether her intentions have change or just the position from which she plans to execute them. Maybe it's easier to do this fro the boadroom before going back into politics.

    This is more Elop than Eich.

    The Eich case is merely: I don't want my political opponents to work again in this town.

    The Elop case is: Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin I will not let the big bad wolf in.

    Condi is clearly the Elop case, as she opposes the interests of the service, which is more than just an "unfortunate" political affiliation (i.e. not on my side) and "dubious" moral history (i.e. not what I would have done).

    The flooding is because the EU has been paying farmers to cut down trees and leave none standing, and trees have been shown to reduce flooding by providing a channel for the water to leave the surface.

    The latency of network access is higher than disk access; so doing more things at once as systemd permits will make a bigger difference than if you were just using local disks and /etc/passwd

    Maybe Pandora will "give" the radio station the money to buy a Pandora.
    Pandora will of course have a long term licensing agreement with a new corp. Meta-Pandora and most of the money will get funnelled to Meta-Pandora.

    No, the problem is not just the timezone, it is the tick tock problem too. The time zone problem is very easy to fix by saying "GMT"

    It is harder than that, ntp is hard. ntp takes hours to stabilize before it will believe it has a decent idea of the time.

    How do you know how long it took to get the time request from the BBC over http?

    Do you think you might get two side-by-side PC's showing different times (out by 10 seconds) depending on link contention when they made their request?

    BBC cannot solve this problem.

    Darn right. This is the way to close free wifi hotspots.

    Providers will not be able to pay for "approved" filtering, so one dodgy site slipping through would be grounds for prosecution; and so all free hotspot vanish.

    I have a cheap fon router which provides two wireless networks. One for my family and one non-encrypted.

    The non-encrypted network normally requires a logon, but some IP addresses can be excluded from that requirement. You might choose to exclude all requirements so that your guests get straight access.

    You also get to rate-limit the connection too.

    If you run a connection and leave it turned on you get free logon to other peoples fon hotspots too - and there are thousands in the UK.

    Sometimes the artists get no money because their music publishers instruct them not to register with the copyright agency of that country SO THAT the publisher can claim that the seller is not legitimate because the artists get no money.

    Sometimes it's a choice between
    1. not paying
    2. paying and the artist gets no money
    3. paying and the artist gets no money and you support an abusive music industry
    4. paying and the artist gets money and you support an abusive music industry

    For mass music I opt for 2 where I can because I think it does least harm.
    For less popular music I use CD-Baby and other self publishing sites or buy direct from the artist.

    If the advocates are truly sure and the science settled, why oh why (oh why) do they act like a bunch of guilty liars and keep acting in a sneaky and furtive manner.

    It is this behaviour that convinces me that there are dark deeds going on.
