Speaking further of mouse gestures, moving your pointer all the way left, then all the way right, then all the way left again is a poor choice of gesture. It takes way too long to be useful, esp. if you're using a trackpad. Perhaps a R-L-R-L mouse button combination, or even just a keystroke would be a better choice.
When you're on a Linux machine, Mozilla is a fine choice for web browsing. And it has some nice features like tabbed browsing that soften the interface somewhat, and some like javascript privilege control which make the web more tolerable.
HOWEVER, the Mac versions are basically unusable and the Windows version is hurting. Mozilla still sucks when good web browsers exist on that platform.
careful though. overcharging can cause a hasty kernel dump onto/dev/toilet or/dev/floor (depending on where the PC is pointing at the moment), followed by a several-hour shutdown.
The iops are placed the group's five slots in program order with the stipulation that all branch instructions must go in slot 4 (the last slot). Furthermore, slot 4 can hold only branch instructions and nothing else.
Expect some totally sick compiler optimizations for this processor. With the proper machine code, this type of processor should be able to compute instructions as fast as you can hose them in.
...because few people have programmed in Python enough to become comfortable with it. Unlike technical books for C or Perl or Fortran, in which most of the audience may be assumed to be 95% comfortable in the language, books for fringe programming languages must be a little more down-to-earth.
This is clearly flamebait, but you have a point. I can think of perhaps three European IP addresses I'd want access to, as well as the entire UK (they're ok). But the rest of my experience with European net users is one of annoyance. Either it's spams coming from remote countries or wanadoo.fr (AOL for France) lamers shitting in my IRC channel or some such. I'd be ok with Europe dropping off ARPAnet and I'm not afraid to say it.
But anyone who buys new Apple hardware and shuns Mac OS X in favor of Yellow Dog is throwing their money away. You can run Linux on PC hardware which is way cheaper than Apple hardware, and it will run better than Linux on PPC. Installing Linux or BSD on old Macs makes good sense sometimes, but when you have a top-quality Unix (OS X) which is more beautiful than any other Unix out there, why strive for second best?
Does anyone think that MS' downfall will be by the hand of its customers, the people? We obviously can't trust the law to make any significant dent in MS' practices. But what will be the final straw on the people's backs to make them radically rethink their opinions on and compliance with Microsoft?

But then, I use NetBSD.

there is also the chance that his contract was written when MS was merely a 75lb gorilla, and is more fair than their current contracts.
i guess now that Lance Bass is out of the way, Britney Spears wants a crack at true (not just near-) weightlessness? ;)

all seven Solaris x86 users are jumping for joy. ;)
i'm not sure, but i think he's been spending a little vacation with some hacker friends in Afghanistan.
leaving the door open for instances like this.
PEBKAC conquers all, as usual.
it's a skill we all must learn.... and have learned. :)

...probably within the week. anything that Phones Home can be effectively neutered by changing a few bytes.
Nothing like the bitter taste of having content "protection" crammed down your throat.
