  1. Sigh Another System... on NTSB Recommends Black Boxes For All Cars · · Score: 1

This might just get lost in the noise. But after having circumvented my DRLs and airbag this will be the next system that mystriously will not work on my car. Why? Because I dont need it. I wear my seat belt and turn on my lights when I want to. I dont need 'the man' sitting next to me taking notes so that when something happens he can recount it. I just dont need it. Just like any other system it can fail and it will.

  2. This is why I will buy a Mac on Movielink Snubs DRM-less Macs · · Score: 4, Insightful

This is precisely why I should support the platform which does without silly DRM garbage. When it starts being imbedded in hardware I will do my utmost to NOT use the features. The last time I watched a movie (not even on a computer) has been several months hence all this is hogwash. The quality of films has to go up before I even think of trading my computing freedoms for some movie flick.

  5. Allready done by the Ruskies on Europe Goes To Venus; Mars Comes to Us · · Score: 1

This I seem to recall was allready done by the Russians sometime in the 70's unfortunately due to the -- SULFURIC RAIN -- the drone lasted about 30 minutes or so before being disintegrated by the sulfuric acid. It sent back a few pictures before this however and that is all we have of that mission.

thank you for providing some insight on what goes on behind the scenes so to speak. also something that i appreciate are the complete lack of the shift key, makes it much easier to read.

on a side note it seems that the 'junkyard' is rigged with stuff they need since i know i couldnt find some of the things they do without doing some serious scrounging, my question (i missed the ask the question part) is, is it actually rigged?

  7. Makes Me Proud on A New Low for Web Advertisers: Pop-Up Downloads · · Score: 1

Reading this article makes me feel good that i use Opera instead of IE or anything else that lets popups through. Pop-Up filtering is built in and it catches *everything* (and yes i conced that sometimes you have to turn it off so that something that you want can popup). get it at www.opera.com

All i know is that i have an HP 820 and the keyboard rocks. I can type around 60-70wpm and the addons i can jack into it make it indespensable. Unfortunatly HP stopped making it due to its profit cutting on laptop sales
