  1. Good, improved ... as usual on Suse 9.1 Reviews? · · Score: 3, Interesting

I've been using suse since 7.x, altough now I'm running gentoo on my main computers, it is easier to install/manage on lab machine and servers.

    Best :
    - no problems to update

    Good :
    - linux 2.6
    - default desktop background in gnome are mountains
    - nice(r ?) ooffice
    - dependencies management with yast (ok, not really new, but still really nice)

    Bad :
    - gnome 2.4 (and not .6)

Rest is not new from 9.1 but still annoying :
    - multimedia stuff (codecs, ripper) : it's why I switched to gentoo
    - habits of having library.rpm and library-devel.rpm sucks for devel. machine, no way to install directly all the devel, afaik.

Problems with diesel are particules, not the gaz emissions which are mostly better than gasoline part and this particules are really awfull for the lungs and the buildings. But now the first filters appared in some cars in the last years and should spread quite fast ...

but yeah, the first 3.0 liters/100 km (78mpg) car appeared on the market a few year a go thanks to diesel.

So, I'll guess once the diesel exhaust cleaning process is well improved, the market share will be even higher.

Don't forget, AMD is rating the thermal power at maximum power drain, while Intel is rating them at typical usage, not maximum. So, it would be AMD_max = 35W vs Intel_avg = 25 W, and performance levels unknown.

And a nice thing about mobile amd cpu is that they are compatible with desktop boards, where intel are not in practice (400$ boards don't count).

So, instead I'm now using a plain ARP/Datacon one (which is a distributor brand), available trough their website in CH,DE,AT.

    - small is beautifull (disclaimer : I'm belgian)

Anyway, when I first voted, I definetely had the choice and was able to make a "useful" vote for the party that I feel represented myself. I'm not sure it would have been the case in UK, for example.

You dismiss the multi party system quite fast, just by giving a small, very particular example.

Most european countries have multiple parties, even if when democracy arrived in 19th century there was only 1 or 2, a few new ones arrived later and now, coalitions are in place for a long time. That doesn't bring any trouble, even religious-based parties are starting to lose their religious characters.
