I would probabally NOT let them have computers in their rooms, not at that age. I never did. Keep the computers in a more public area like the living room or the den. Let them know that if they behave well that when they turn closer to 17 or 18 they can get one in their room. Thats if they are still living there.
Acually steam does run on linux. Its not very prominent on steampowered but there is an emerge for it with gentoo. It really just installs the halflife server for linux.

So when is the RIAA going to go after non-internet radio stations and make them pay royalties? Why are they only going after digital music? Sometimes radio stations will play an entire album and that could be easier to record than music streamed over the net.
