Lets look at what popular now. Reality TV. Does it get any more mindless than that?

Well, this is a country (US) of drunkards and idiots. And I think that given what is "popular" is a sign of the decline of our culture. Musicians who can't play instruments, models who aren't pretty and parents who don't devote themselves to their children. Honestly, at 40, I'm shocked how much this country has changed. Public schools have become holding pens for morons. When I was in school, you had to work hard to keep up with the smart kids or you got left back. Now, they hold back the smart kids to keep the dumb ones from losing their self-esteem. I hope I die soon, seeing all this is too depressing.

No way to get away from human error (or malice) so you might as well make it as simple as possible. Not easy, simple. Voting is too important to be left to the crappy computers we have these days. I think we're still in the model A days of computers. In 100 years they might be better but they suck now. When was the last time your screw driver crashed?

At this point I don't give a shit what the gov(U.S.) does as long as they stop this shit. Not like we have any real rights left anyway. Glad I'll be dead soon, this country(U.S.) sucks.

I remember in the 80's Regan and his nazi crew wanted an anonymous phone call to police to be probable cause for a search warrant. So, as per High Times instructions, the police lines were flooded with tips about lawyers with non-existant cocaine stashes. After a couple of raids and the resulting lawsuits, the gov quickly gave up on that idea. Same concept here. Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Don't equate the RIAA's actions of hunting file traders to the FBI's actions hunting kiddie porn freaks. They are COMPLETELY different subjects.

Well the basis of both those cases is the legality of exchanging said data. The latter being proven a criminal offence. Since the copywrite laws are being broken, the RIAA as an agency of civil enforcement could legaly ask the courts for the usernames. The real problem is the penalties for copywrite infringement. The RIAA should get 100% of the exchange profit. And since thats nothing in a free trade enviroment it's the perfect sum. But they won't go for that. They have the money, they have the lawyers and they own the hill. The answer is picketing and boycotts, if you want change you have to take it to the streets. Picket the records stores, tell people about what is wrong with buying a cd or dvd. Don't go to movies, dinner and bowling | skating | live music | putt-putt golf | sex are more fun anyway. Don't give industries the money to keep you down.
