Wikimedia started the Wikipedia Zero project, which aims to partner with mobile service providers to bring Wikipedia to poor regions free of charge.
It's a killer strategy, because while computer and internet access is still fleeting for much of the world, cell phones are far more ubiquitous. Wikimedia claims that four mobile partnerships signed since 2012 brings free Wiki service to 330 million cell subscribers in 35 countries
So is this happening now, or sometime in the future? And is actually via text message, or via free web access?
I think they are saying, that in a couple small tests, many cultures, particularly less wealthy or more family oriented cultures, react differently than Americans, and therefore Americans make incredibly bad case studies.
Bullshit.
Yes, what you've said is bullshit, because that's not what they're saying:
social scientists could not possibly have picked a worse population from which to draw broad generalizations
Of all the populations they could have picked - no matter how bad it is to make such generalisations in any case - the US was the worst one to pick for making such generalisations. So you could have summed it up as:
many cultures, particularly less wealthy or more family oriented cultures, react differently from each other, and that if you want a generalisation of the entire human population, America is the worst place to look.
I see that it's automatically something to be offended by, though.
Heads up gamers, nobody wants to watch videos of you playing games, especially not your family or coworkers who are not 60-hour-a-week gamers, so please stop sending us Youtube links, okay? I'm never going to play in the NFL and you are never going to make a living playing games in your mom's basement, deal with it.
And what makes you think anyone wants to listen to you being a dick about (the many) people who happen to enjoy something you don't?
On January 26th, unlocking a cell phone that is under contract became illegal in the U.S
I don't have a big problem with that, but this is the really important part:
As of January 26, consumers will no longer be able unlock their phones for use on a different network without carrier permission, even after their contract has expired.
That's a very good question. Normally, I'd say let the free market sort it out. But oil and gas are fraught with such an enormous hodgepodge of government regulation, taxation, and subsidies that it is pretty hard to claim anything like a "free market" even exists for those things.
Then how do you decide it's "too high" in the first place?
Like the original ship, there will no TVs aboard and probably no Internet service
What, the original Titanic only probably had no internet service?

Ah, so your group consisted solely of fraternal and non-fraternal twins, which allowed you come to this conclusion on some factor other than race?
It's when they do that announcement that has you running halfway across the station because your train isn't coming in where you thought it was.
You have now. Advertising works, bitches!
Which is why I got in early and bought all the midget porn I could find.
The pyromaniac in me really wants to watch the impact ;)
You'll be pretty disappointed unless you're also a dust-cloud or crater maniac.

Would it kill you to define CAS?
Burma Shave.
British humour are top class, don't get me wrong.
British grammar are even better.
But this is not funny.
FYI: You are not everyone.
If any of your favourite shows has a laughter box in it, you are fail too.
Whereas believing your opinion to be worth more than everyone else's makes you such a win?
His horrid creation has remained a prime enemy in Doctor Who for over 50 years
That's quite a trick, considering the 50th anniversary is in November this year. Timey wimey, wibbly wobbly...
No-one is legally obligated to accept it as payment of a debt?
Even those doing nature documentaries often set up stuff or even fake things!
You're not kidding.
Affleck said the story was tweaked just a bit to maintain audience interest--and that's another lie on top of the lies.
No, that bit's true. It was tweaked to maintain American audience interest.

You can't make a Hollywood blockbuster in China or India or South Africa
You don't say! Where do they make Hollywood blockbusters then? I just can't work it out...
No one is going to dress up as a cardinal and sneak into the Sistine Chapel.
Challenge accepted!
...why do they have to call it an inverted pendulum instead of a stick?
Alternatively: It works, bitches.
"If your fly is down, they can do a cavity search legally without a warrant"
Is that definitely "can" and not "must"? This is important for my, um, research.

They told me that's the French way!
Did they also shrug and say "boff"?

I have no idea. Do you? Quite besides which, target markets have never meant much to geeks.
