"Wonder, how do Slashdot readers feel about the show, and its two spinoffs?"
Am I the only one yelling kicking and screaming that there are 3 spin-offs? I'm more sick of all the stinking spin-offs than anything else.
First there was CSI (vegas). And it was good. Then there was CSI Miami. And it was good. Then there was Navy CSI a spin off of the JAG series, but still a CSI show. And it wasn't bad. Now there is CSI New York. And it is too much.
Maybe the DOJ is funding the writers of CSI to throw in technology that doesn't exist, and to make CSI budgets look plentiful. Ever notice how many DNA tests are done in the average CSI episode? The costs of CSI's DNA testing could represent an entire budget for an investigation of a murder. If people see crimes being stopped on TV maybe they'll stop bugging the government.
This is insane! The only reason the music companies get away with this is because this is how business has been done for the ages. They've got the monopoly on the artists and we can't get their music with out going through them. Maybe its time we show them that we're not going to put up with this shit no more.
I say we should make the first week of may "Customer awareness week" at the RIAA where we don't buy any music for a full week and let them know we won't put up with this shit.
The Firefox project is to make a good web browser and not get side tracked.
You want a firefox OS? Install Linux Bios with firefox and log into an EyeOS server. Done.
The fact that Google couldn't think of a name to differentiate Chrome OS disappoints me.
Look into bytehoard on sourceforge.
It's a dead project but does what you need.
I have the feeling this will end up being better in theory than implementation.
Didn't it land is a crator or canyon?
So it'd be the farthest hole in one.

OS 10.2 runs fine on the old blue and white with a 500 mhz G4, and half a gig ram.
Hell, Windows XP runs smoother under OS 10.2 and a G4 500 mhz than my 700 mhz intel chip.
