    It really depends on which branch of STEM. Biology and chemistry are more balanced, but if you study Computer Science, good luck finding girls in your own department. I think works need to be done to make certain branches of STEM subjects to look cool.

    I think that particular (group) of employee is probably Korean. Based on the current flippant attitude of North Korea, it is the easiest to blame everything on North Korea, which is perceived as evil.

    Using North Korea as a scapegoat was a perfect strategy for Sony. Blaming the attack on a nation state is way better than admitting its poor security practices. But North Korea has now denied the involvement, I wonder what they are going to do...

    I moved to United Kingdom when I was 13. I was never taught cursive in school. I am doing fine. However I don't think it is a good idea to teach texting, because different kind of input method may come along and make texting obsolete, e.g. Swype.

    I think the difference between Bush and Obama is that Bush wasn't hypocritical. Bush didn't tell everyone that he was going to make his government more open, whereas Obama did.

    Touchscreen phone running Windows Mobile was quite common in Asian market before iPhone. It is true that they weren't as polished.

    I find it extremely sad that the US has recently lost the ability to conduct human spaceflight. I also find it extremely sad that the funding for NASA is still under threat. I don't know what to say really... I hope the future exploration of mankind doesn't depend on countries with questionable human right record like Russia and China.

    UK is a leading country for CCTV camera ownership. GCHQ had been spying on citizens using data from NSA's PRISM program. I really wonder why they even bother with creating ICO. It is just bureaucracy.

    As a person who lives in Britain. Sometimes I feel not enough attention is given to the international side of the issue. I can now certainly understand why some countries hate the US so much.

    The US has violated many other allies' trust, no matter whether the constitution is violated. I have the feeling that the US government is currently run by a bunch of insensitive clods.

    As just one thing, vow that you will not vote for any candidate who does not support a full and complete pardon for Snowden. Even if you think your candidate is a "lesser evil" -- all that has gotten us is whole bunch of evil. Make the politicians fear for their jobs.

    And you shouldn't be afraid of voting a third-party candidate. Candidates in the Republican/Democrat parties do respond to those third-parties, if the race between the is close, as they want to get as many votes as they can.
