I'm definitely not pro-iraq-war, but doesn't it stand to reason then that if the cost doesn't justify it, then it very likely was not the reason. Doesn't that make prove your assumption is "tarded"?

Where did your morality come from, but a culture that teaches the value of life? This was not the case in Roman times, before the spread of christianity, and look at the sorts of things they did.

  6. Re:It's true on Drivers License Swipes Raise Privacy Concerns · · Score: 0

I have written software for our cellular retailing product, that reads Driver's licenses, (AAMVA format). It saves customers time instead of the sales rep asking for every piece of information they can just confirm that its the same that's on the license. This means that a customer can spend 10 minutes getting their phone activated instead of 25 or 30 for a slower rep. FYI, while AAMVA format has a space for weight I have yet to see any that actually have weight on them. I have not tested every states that supports this format though.

I'm a developer who uses both .NET 3.0 and previous version. I'm very glad that they decided to call it .Net 3.0 and not just an extension to 2.0. It makes it much easier to explain to customers.

While its true that Vista itself doesn't have anything all that special, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) does. They backported it to WindowsXP. That's what I'm excited about as a programmer. But it will run on XP SP2, 2003 and Vista.

  10. Re:Minnesota State Bird on Athens Breeding "Super Mosquitoes" · · Score: 1

I know you were being facetious, but I wanted to answer your question "Why would a being of infinite good unleash such a horrible plague upon man?". Creationists believe the world was created perfect, before the "curse". So in a very real sense, mosquitos ARE a curse. I have read articles that say that mosquitos would not need to suck blood to feed their young IF there was a greater concentration of oxygen and greater atmospheric pressure, which was what an earlier world looked like. So there was very likely a time when mosquitos did not drink blood.

  13. Sheep on Equal Time For Creationism · · Score: 1

You guys are really a bunch of sheep. The truth is evolution has not been proven, and there are strong arguments against it. You don't believe in intelligent design for philosophical reasons, and then try to back it up with science, and claims of no matter how small a probablity it still exists. If you really stop to look at the very early stages evolution cannot happen. Sure birds can change shape, size, and even specialize. I don't think anyone disagrees with that even creationists, yet goo turning into living beings just doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
