    The only way desktop Linux will every take off is if the power of a name sells it like Google. Technically anyone using a Mac is on Unix since Mac OSX is just BSD under the hood.

    Microsoft lost the email market to Yahoo. They lost search engine market to Google. They lost the instant Messaging market to AOL. They lost gadget market to Apple. They lost the Music market to Apple, Pandora and Spotify. They lost the cloud storage to Amazon, Google and Dropbox. There Hyper V is loosing to VMWare. There Terminal Services is loosing to Citrix. They lost there Accounting Software to Quickbooks. There Office Suit is getting a run for its money with Oracle Open Office. Microsoft time to Adapt or die.

    To me this Conflickr virus was the new blaster. Microsoft patched this vulnerability long before the virus hit the problem is a lot of IT professionals and home users do not realize the important of patching and a good anti-virus.

    I have a friend that was really into this and he was building a bitcoin farm using high end graphics cards and such. I don't he every made any real money i think its a scam from hardware venders to get you to buy high end video cards.

    Biggest problem with cloud is security date sent there should be encrypted. These sky drives are like the holy glare for some hackers.     This is the same thing that happened at pown to own. Any time you integrate the browser into the OS you are open up security vulnerabilities. Microsoft has had issues like this for years. Apple sacrificed security for useability.

    I know a lot of companies that use Ubuntu server side. It's a great product I will be so happy to get HP driver support now. Dell has been doing this for a while thanks HP for following suite with your proliant packs now.

    This does not shock me in the least as any technology gets more and more popular vulnerability and bugs come to the surface.

    IBM Point of Sale and mainframes were always a big business they have lost a lot of there business to Micros because of price they probably figure sell while they can still get a good price for that branch of company. I wonder if Micros or Penn Systems even offered I would be very surprised if they showed no interest.
