This why IE or even Safari I do not use. Browser integration into the OS is a huge security flaw. Your choices are Opera, Firefox (my personal fav) or Chrome.
I like Netflix for all the series they have. I mean a pack of Macgyver or A-team DVDs with set you back 15 dollars or more new for one season. With Netflix you get all seasons for 8 dollars a month.
I agree if you want secure go with go to meeting or something like that Skype is not the answer. How ever if Microsoft wants to replace MSN messenger with this they will need to beef up security.
If Apple does not kick start that innovation they are going to fall behind in the Phone market to Google. Just like they lost to Microsoft in the 80's.
The problem with any OS is once it gains market share it becomes a target. Since Mac OS is running a stroked BSD would not take much to make a pure BSD hack.
I deal with OS deployments all the time and anytime I send hardware back to a major vender they always reimage it to the factory default for troubleshooting reasons not sure why they just could not do the same. Probably because there not in the repair biz no one there was smart enough to know what to do.
Larry Ellison has been talking about the cloud for years he has openly said the client / server configuration is stupid. His big hold up in the 90's was dial up now with everyone having dial up this is no longer a pipe dream. I am happy Oracle is pushing forward with this in Ellison book he talks extensively on cloud environment.
I used to be a big fan of red hat and fedora but lately Debian and Ubuntu are my distros of choice. Backtrack has been my latest distro since I am a security guy.
This the same people that wanted to get mobile space centers to stay untouched. Governments are fighting a loosing battle. Look at how wikileaks is still operating and it took how long it took them to take down illegal casino sights. People like this have the resources and knowledge to stay operational.
Jobs claimed to have never cared about money or about being cultured. He never wanted to share his ideas with anyone and he never gave up any of his stock. Woz gave away a lot of his stock in Apple to guys he felt deserved it. Woz was also involved with the free information movement and SOPA. But unfortuanlty I think he has always been looked down at for a while. Truth is Woz was the brains be hind Apple Jobs had nothing without Woz tech savyness.
I really hope Apple cleans this up and puts there damage control and programmers to work ASAP. Apple as a business needs to handle this right or they could seriously eat a lot of bad press over this would defiantly hurt there stocks and there reputation. I mean two big security holes in only a few months not such great start Tim Cook.
Microsoft bought Skype they did not build it from the ground up they are using what ever software and hardware are in place. Remember they spent 1 Billion dollars they are not going to gut all hardware and software at that price.
One thing that has made every business news conglomerate is that Facebook has chosen the NASDAQ (NDAQ) for the IPO. This is great for the NASDAQ group they lost LinkedIn (LNKD), Pandora (P) and Yelp (YELP) recently. The latest IPO boom every market has been trying to sweeten the deal for technology and internet companies when Zynga (ZNGA) made its IPO it choose NASDAQ.
What does this mean for the NASDAQ Index with Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOG), Groupon (GRPN), Zynga (ZNGA), Microsoft (MSFT), Netflix (NFLX) and now Facebook joining then market index? With all these BIG technology companies joining the NASDAQ or already being part of the Index as long as they do good so will the Index. If a few of them should start to do badly so will the Index value. One of the major concerns is what if the technology bubble breaks again the whole NASDAQ market could tank. This is a major concern when a market gets top heavy with a certain type of business stock.
Facebook's IPO has been anticipated for a while and looks to be very strong and beefed up. With any social media company there is always concerns especially after the failure of Myspace. Facebook's revenue is derived from ads and games. Facebook has hung around longer, has a much better following and is biggest of any social media company to date.
I be leave myself that these tech IPO's have been the saving grace for the stock market and are adding to the rebound of our economy just like the Computer and PC industry helped our economy in the 80's and the dot com industry did in the 90's. Facebook is looking to IPO at $150.00 a share and I be leave it will sky rocket on opening day despite recent tech IPO's not doing great on opening day. Most investors and share holding are waiting for the Mark Zuckerberg to ring the NASDAQ bell.

If it actually looked like OWA I would have been thrilled just another disappointment by Microsoft.
I agree from what I have read and seen I think New York City is going to be the next Silicon Valley

There trying to give people reasons to go to windows 8. Better office cheap upgrades exc.

Verisign last year and now Microsoft plus SSL encryption being picked apart nothing is really safe on the web anymore.
http://www1.k9webprotection.com/ I have used this on several customers computers works really well its a free local content filter.

I hate the stuff I get blamed for and its not my fault because they decided to use the cloud.
the best one I have ever seen is the persons 10 digit phone number
Just goes to show does not matter how good the password if the hacker wants in there getting in
I think Microsoft is embracing linux more because of there Skype acquisition.

I know major venders like websense and Sunguard prefer you to use Firefox over IE they claim you have less compatibility issues.
I hope they release how many billion it cost to develop.

Start him with X-Men, Fantastic Four and Iron Man they are age appropriate then when he gets older switch him over to Spawn little more adult based.
