I develop web apps and my primary browser is IE9. I don't have a preference for IE9 but I can tell you I encounter very few rendering issues between browsers when I do my final test. IE is not half as bad as it used to be so this hesitation to use Internet Explorer is nothing but bogus or is fueled by incompetence at coding pages up. On a side note, I've learned to like Chrome over any browsers but it has nothing to do with development work.

The only thing it's missing is Domain support and it's complete.

Can't wait to try one and see if it's as good as it sounds.

Cost of ownership of a MAC is superior to the cost of owning a PC. Is the MAC book better. Sure it is (depending on how it's used). It only has to comply with it's own specs and it's own hardware. PCs are whatever you want them to be. MACs are what Apple decides they should be.

Although this is changing, cost of hardware for Macs is more expensive and the same is true about software. Lots more freeware for MS than MAC.

The cost of trying to satisfy every need is chaos. That's what Microsoft is. Apple is the opposite and that is why most businesses can't adopt it. It's simply too confined and cost too much. Then you have the Unix, BSD and Linux of this world that are no different than Microsoft in many ways but aren't as popular as an end user OS.

All this to say I'm sticking to VS2010. :)

    I second CAIMLAS,

Key is in redundancy and proper management of equipment/software. In our environment, individual computers have software. Nothing else! Users are useless if the network goes down so Cloud or local servers are practically identical.

To deny that a form of cloud computing isn't the future of IT is to steer your IT department blindly. The demand for system support will definitively drop but the need for IT assistance in general won't. (How can I save my excel 2010 file into excel 2003??...)

I see too many people blame others for their own lazyness and stupidity. People expect everything to be done for them hassle free. Well I'm sorry to say but you can't drive a car without having learned to drive. Why should it be different for anything else? Understand what your doing instead of just clicking OK without thinking. Anyhow, it's not like Apple sold them poison labeled as candy. These people need to take this mistake as a life lesson and move on. The kid shouldn't be spanked, the parent should!!!
