    Right...so, Adobe is going to track down all digital artwork, determine if it's created using one of their products, and then somehow track down the contact info for the owner of the content...who will then willingly search through their records to figure out who exactly it was that actually did that piece, and then give that info back to Adobe.

    I can totally see this happening. No, really I can.

    Err...no. Perhaps I wasn't clear. I was talking about gamers. You know, the people who have a computer that cost more than your car, with a graphics card that can render the texture of each individual grain of sand on a beach. Real hardcore gamers, the ones who lose themselves in the strategy and mechanics of whatever "their" game is.

    And while I appreciate that Angry Birds (Gamer Edition) may seem a compelling reason to drop anywhere from $649-$849, when the choice is between a new set of solid state drives for their RAID array and a phone, which do you think the gamer will pick?

    This post made my day. Granted, I've been having a pretty crappy day so far, so it didn't take much, but still...you're repeating some of the stuff I repeatedly tell people who start preaching to me about the benifits of Apple, Microsoft, or some flavor of linux.

    I'd never tell a gamer to buy a Mac. But I'd also never recommend that an artist get a PC. And I'd definitely never suggest that my grandmother run linux. Each has its place.

    I'd probably agree with most of that. The only church that I've ever seen practice what they preach is a tiny non-denominational fellowship that met in the basement of an abandoned catholic church. But, that was in central Ohio, and I'm in Oregon now. So, I'm still looking. Funny thing is, my DnD group is closer to a solid fellowship than any "church" I've ever been to.

    Not...exactly. Perhaps I should have stated it this way:

    Protestant != Christian

    The last few hundred years of history should make this pretty clear. Look up a man named Martin Luthor and his 95 thesis if you don't believe me. There are people who claim "Christianity" as their religion, but don't reflect that in their actions. Belonging to a denomination means nothing if you don't actually practice what is contained in your Scriptures...but that's a whole can of worms that I'd really rather not get into, mainly because it's pretty gnarly, and digs into my personal history with so-called "Christians".
