Finally, in Canada, someone actually questions the music cartels' claims of losses and counters with proof. Nevertheless, the recordable media taxing levy only pays "their" artists. Other unpopular artists won't see a cent, and they may end up paying the taxing levy to record their music to sell.

In the UK, bands can be asked to pay copyright fees to perform their own music live!

Games aren't guns, the experience of shooting someone in a game is entirely different to real life.
In real life the guy you just railed doesn't say "good shot".
In real life you feel fear when facing an armed opponent, in a game you shrug, go for it, and respawn a few seconds later.

I think people need to get straight that game violence is the same level as violence in kids cartoons. It's joke violence, it doesn't even look real

SPEWS hurts people who give money to spam supporting ISPs, they're only innocent until they find out they're listed.

If someone posts a timescale for moving out of listed space, SPEWS has been known poke a temporary hole in a listing for them. This indicates that they don't want to block real innocents, just people who give financial support to spammer-friendly ISPs.

Spammers are also hurting innocents by bombarding everyone with spam in an attempt to force a party totally unconnected to the victims to accede to their wishes.

You want a terrorist analogy? Spammers are terrorists, spam friendly ISPs are obviously terrorist umbrella organizations, and your 'innocents' are financial sponsors of terrorism.

The truth of the matter is that SPEWS is just a consumer boycott by people with a different definition of innocent to yours.

The bar. I agree completely. Just because alcohol is the government approved drug doesn't mean it isn't a drug, so the barkeeper is in reality a legitimatized drug dealer! How many people killed by drunk drivers? More than all other violent crime put together, and that's just one aspect of the sale of alcohol.
