I think it is is greate!! I am an IT consultant at the largest bank in scandinavia, and the past week I have configured a squid proxy with a redirector called squidGuard, mostly because 60+% of all the internet use had nothing to do with their work. So now all they get when they try to access a porn site or something, they get a message telling them that the site is restricted(and that we know:)
When i started to use Linux in 1997, as a major newbie i tried Redhat linux 5.0, it was easy to use, and i loved rpm, but after evolving the past years, i like the power of the source, you know, patching it, compiling it, make it "your own", so my natural path was to go from redhat to slackware.
Her in Norway a broadband company named Enitel (www.enitel.no (In norwegian)) has made a deal with most of the power companies that allows them to strech fibers side by side to the power lines, wich is cheaper than annything else, they even have this robot wich does it automaticly.(http://www.enitel.no/html/omenitel/hi storikk.asp)
Her in the cold north (Norway) it is allowed to port scan, i even heard a fellow say its allowd to try to hack a computer, its once you have done it its illegal.
I work as an IT consultant for a big bank, and they run NT only, its the standard, i dont think Microsoft will collapse, they still have all those extra services, new produkts, technet and so on..........
But its possible that M$ will lose some of the market to others, like linux...
Are you sure that mandrake 8.0 has the libs required for WP 8?? i heard some people have problems with libc etc...
