I went off games for a period - still bought some but rarely played and never completed. Turned out I was suffering from clinical depression and since recovering I have been right back into gaming and enjoy it as much as ever! I am 31 btw...
I was interested too, and for comment you shouldn't have to read through loads of change logs that you may or may not understand all of. Poor marketing guys - you ain't gonna topple the monopoly realeasing software like this!!!!
And so they should in my opinion. I have no problem with Linux (the kernel) having being a long time user - but the current desktop projects are showing nothing whatsoever in developing new and better ways to work. Apple (and to an extent MS) on the other hand invest pots of cash in user interface design and development. Then these muppets come along and appropriate it as their own. I'd sue if I were apple.....
And what has that got do with the blaster worm? (forgive my ignorance - but I thought it either just bluescreened or your saw nothing but got infected).
So, the "slashdot Community" justified their piracy on the grounds that the music Industry doesn't sell the music in the form they want it in. So someone has done exactly that....and now you want it on CD, encoded differently, whatever.
Your getting what you asked for. Will you all now admit you just dont like paying for music regardless of format or delivery mechanism?
I am fortunate enough to own an Xbox, a Gamecube, a PC (and a mac, but we won't go there..) as well as a dreamcast. I can honestly say the DC gets more use that the rest put together. Ikaruga, Rez, Gigawing, Soul Calibur, Zero Gunner, Mars Matrix - all waiting to be bettered. If your in the UK don't look at it as a cheap platform though - most of the best games are imports costing up to £50 a pop.
Will these proposed laws and mechanisms affect me that much? I buy CD's (lots of them) and don't copy them as a rule (maybe for the car onto audio tape). I buy DVD's and watch them, but have never felt the need for a 2nd copy (why would you?). I don't listen to MP3's (sound quality is poor compared to my cd player). I don't copy games - I buy them if I want them. And I have a healthy non-digital life ourdoors! Aren't we all getting a bit carried away??

G.
How do you know it was blaster??
There are *MANY* other reasons for a box to Bluescreen other than this.
G.
The best post to slashdot I've seen in 2 years.
Bravo!
