  1. garbled audio sounds fine to me! on Newest Audio CD DRM Proves Ineffective · · Score: 1
"At this point you can attempt to copy tracks from the CD with applications like MusicMatch Jukebox or Windows Media Player. Copies made while the driver is active will sound badly garbled, as in this 9-second clip"

should be "Copies made while the driver is active will reveal remixes by Marumari, Prefuse 73, and Hrvatski."

Sounds fine to me! Honestly, I had zero interest in this cd, now I just want the full-length tracks of that "garbled audio".

Even better, he's saved himself a bit of work, since all he did was give a small bit of information he knew about the servers at a company he most likely isn't associated with. Viola! Someone will do the dirty work for him.

  3. Re:This is great! on Atari 2600 Hacks · · Score: 1

I believe Elektron has stated that they only use virgin SID chips in the SIDstation. In fact, since SIDs are no long produced, Elektron's supply last year had dwindled to approximately 20 virgin chips, meaning only 20 more SIDstations could be sold. They later found another small batch of chips to continue production with, but these finds are never large; only 100-200 chips at a time. Therefore, future availability of the SIDstation is always in doubt.

I heard somewhere (maybe from my girlfriend who used to manage a theatre) that they will never show a movie that is longer than 3 Hours in a theatre.

Maybe not in a cineplex for the reasons another poster cited, that it would decrease the number of showings possible. However, I saw Shinji Aoyama's Eureka in an art house theater last year, and it has a running length of over 3 and a half hours. Excellent movie, too.
  5. Re:The Family Guy on Futurama Season 4 Update from David X. Cohen · · Score: 1

I agree. Nothing could touch the Simpsons in its prime, but currently it pales compared to Futurama and withers before Family Guy. Sure, a lot of the Family Guy's jokes rip off the Simpsons, but Family Guy can't be touched right now with its manic pacing and obscure, irreverent humor.
