WOuld that mean that in the case of a contracted employee, the government is paying for FICA twice, while with direct employes, they are only paying it once?
That would be so awesome if that were true, but it's not. You seem to discount, for lack of a more specific term, reality itself. Moving parts all wear and tear. People's bodies don't just work perfectly until the day they die, and they don't only wear down due to bad decisions of that person. You seem to be discounting "Shit happens".
I'm thinking the compex is way bigger than somewhere you'd walk around, and they probably don't have a "Steve Jobs space" in front of EVERY entrance to EVERY building.
Thanks. That's PRECISELY the type of answer I was looking for. Very informative. They really oughtta cover those for males then. Glad to see the medical community is finally accepting what needs to be done, but what's in it for the insurance companies?
What about male swingers in their mid-30s? Not saying this is me, but. . . If these people are possibly spreading disease, wouldn't it make sense to vax them too?
Lisp is not "just math", it is an implementation that must be created. Someone could have easily done the same thing with brackets instead of parenthesis. It wouldn't be the same "discovery", it would be a different invention with different syntax. [oh why oh why did i respond to this?]
Yea. This idea obviously needs to be tabled until they develop a method to somehow transmit information across the air. Some sort of... radio waves or wifi or something. Until then, this is a dumb idea, because obviously they would have to go into the bunker and get the ball back. How stupid of them.
Your post sorta-kinda reminds me of the many appeals to the Good Ol' Days That Never Were. You kind of want to say "we are animals, and behave as such, big fucking deal". To an extent, I agree. But you seem to have it as a foregone conclusion that there's no point in even elevating ourselves to not act like fucking animals -- and that is where I disagree.
Considering that people consider god ABOVE and MORE IMPORTANT than their family, I'd say the difference is that much much much less offense was done here.
When my wife got shingles, I was under the impression (given to me by the doctor) that you can't get it without having had chicken pox first, as it's the same virus.
Okay, so I'm hearing "doubling might actually be sane". But tripling?

No way do those benefits add up to a doubling or tripling of expenditures. Show us the numbers.
Don't pilots usually fly blind these days? Are they really looking out the window constantly when they're up int he sky? [I truly don't know]
Definitely ;)

well you see, when our knees go bad, it costs us a lot more to fix them because we don't have nationalized medicine ;)

I think you need to read the other response to my question.

If there was justice in this world, your comment would be Score:5, and his Score:2, and not the other way around.

In this economy, nobody is surprised by the loss of Jobs.

Also the fact that you can't get social security without paying into the system too....
100% of Americans pay taxes. 50% of americans don't pay income tax.
well-played. I suggest downloading "StairDismount" and "TruckDismount", if you can still find those. Consider them euthanasia simulators.
We should aspire to not be pussies who have to whine to Mommy Government everytime our wittle feewings get hurt.
