Not being a slave to trend and technology keeps me sane and my mind fresh. Do yourself a favour and detach yourselves a bit more from the devices around you. It will only serve you well as a rational human being. Also that is all I hear from coders is to "reduce and remove dependencies", yet they cling to their phones and iDevices. Isn't the hypocricy here just sweet?
"Our data center in The Dalles, Oregon sits on the banks of the Columbia River. Here our team members enjoy rafting, wind surfing, fishing and hiking."
How big in terms of gigabytes were they? I have two disks from OCZ myself and they have been pretty fine so far. The biggest is 64 gb, the smallest is 32 gb. I was thinking of upgrading to a 256 gb SSD at some point but not knowing what might kill it is something I honestly have not thought of, and would like some input on. My theory is heat and a faulty power supply would play major roles in this, but not so sure about physical impact although to some extent it would break it.
I work for the games industry so I need to be able to play some serious games regardless of console, mobile or PC. Hopefully I will be able to change some stuff myself as my career progresses. I am not the one to leave a potential market untouched!
I work primarily with digital graphics. My experience with Adobe products is making me feel like they don't care anything anymore as they have a sort of monopoly on 2D imagery. I hope they're not going deeper into 3D as I would hate to switch from Blender, which is my current favourite creation tool for all things threedee. Maybe it's patents that is keeping others from entering the 2D digital creation world to take on Adobe, but I do not really know. Really, I would like Linux to be a great choice for graphical artists to use in terms of convenience, which is currently the only thing Adobe does right.
I also saw my previous comment was cut off in the end there. Weird, but it was nothing of importance.:3
I would like to switch away from the Windows (I already am not touching Macs unless forced to), and this nice improvement in graphical performance might just be a step in the right direction for me to do the full switch at some point. Unfortunately I still am pretty dependent on the Adobe package for graphic tools in my line of work, but I hope to see the alternatives get there fast now that Adobe has consistently been pissing on its own leg for a longer period of time. And then there are the games. Pray tell this situation will improve.
Interesting. I find myself lacking in the social norms when communicating on IRC with my friends. Then again, so do they. Conversations quickly come down to (as pointed out by a friend of mine) poop, pee and colonthree. It is a great outlet to let it all out, and keeps me sane in otherwise pressing situations where I have to endure the social stigma that comes with discussing bodily produce openly on the street.
Judging from the amount of views on Youtube it has received and the amount of reactions I dare say most people don't even know what it is but are just looking for an excuse to smash stuff and create misery in the name of religion/cult.
It is pretty obvious what security measures you can have. It's not like the whole thing was guarded by lasersharks and bahamuts trapped in a vortex existing between universes and only accessible between 11:54 and 11:57 every other Tuesday and you have to walk sideways in and backwards out again while saying the secret greeting three times and clap your hands, and failing to do so would only mean you would get teleported to a dark place beyond eternity.
I didn't think Apple was doing that badly that they have to litigate others for cash to stay relevant. Oh wait, maybe they are doing it to make the others strapped for cash! Or wait, maybe there isn't even a point in doing this. Maybe they should all hold hands and be happy instead.:3

And how do you pronounce it yourself?
:3
Thank you very much in advance for taking your time to answer my questions.
Even more opportunity for me to get offers for things I REALLY DON'T NEED.
I've been down the drain a lot.

Yup, all good!
I am new to commenting on /. and I think lame attempts at humor belong to 9GAG and Reddit.

1984 and Animal Farm. George Orwell did not write books, he wrote the law.
I am so happy I pay by wire and never use my real name! Yay, go me!
Judging from the comments and reactions it is clearly obvious that religious nutjobs are pioneers of trolling.
If I want to be sinister, I could try as hard as I could, but I would never possibly beat the government. This isn't even its final form.
So what is the main problem?

Summarised in one Youtube-movie.
The article reads like an April's fools joke...
They're being offensive to me with laws like this!
I laughed for all the right/wrong reasons.

Looking at it made me uncomfortable too.
Isn't that how people tend to pronounce Sony in certain dialects of the US-English language variant?
