Game makers know the sales numbers for windows 8 and are not going to bother with DX-11.2. No to mention that any console port is going to only use DX-11. So there is no point.

Desktops are the most common form of computing, and will continue to be for some time. Chances are if you have a smart phone or tablet you also have a desktop or laptop.
Almost all cheap and even some expensive router's are built to fail. Cheap components and no cooling end up causing weak BGA joints and dryedup cap's causing it to fail. It the same with new TV's they last a few years then they die because of bad caps or overheated voltage regulators. look at old tv's they go forever. well until the tube burns out. I have a old console TV still works.
Comparing Steve jobs to Edison, Henry Ford. Is just wrong, these people actually invented things to improve our lives. Steve was just a good salesman he never invented anything. He's has only ever thought us that if you pitch a product just right you can charge what ever you want.
The only people to remember him in 30 plus years will be hardcore Apple fans. Even now most iUsers don't know who he is, but ill bet they know who Billgates is.
There will always be a need for expensive highend hardware Because there will always be people who want the fastest thing out there. Not only that but it's that highend hardware that gets refined in to the cheaper hardware later.
Almost every year i hear the same crap. tablets and smart phones anent going to replace the desktop. but rather become a companion to it. People have this idea that one device is going to replace them all but that's not going to happen.
How are ISP's going to deal with colleges or universities where many users share one gateway? Dorm's would easily break the 6 strike limit. So you are going to punish all students tho they may have not done any thing.
I see Bill Gates being renumbered more then Steve jobs. I mean you can walk up to almost any on on the street and ask them who is Bill Gates? And they will have some kind of answer. Richest man, CEO of Microsoft, Ect.
But i don't think the same can be said for Steve jobs.
Can't see consoles not having a CD drive any time soon. Internet connection's are to slow, id rather have buy the disk put in and play or wait 2 minutes for an install. Then wait 4 hours for an install. It's also nice to be able to share games with friend's, something you can't do when a game bound to you're account. Also Console makers what to sell there consoles as a media dive and that means playing CD's, DVD, blue ray.

The Computer in Voyager is still running after 36 years. Well most modern computers wont work after 10.
