1. A suspension of small globules of one liquid in a second liquid with which the first will not mix: an emulsion of oil in vinegar.
Water (from a shower) and oil (from your skin) already *is* an "emulsion". The soap increases the contrast of the two; oil mixes even less with soapy water than just plain water (hence the film you see on the water that runs down the curb after washing your car). So in layman's terms, it makes water "wetter", as I said.
Exactly. The whole point of soap is to make water "wetter", as I learned in 1st year high school honors chemistry. I don't think his claims are too outlandish.
I just hope that you realize that punk started in the USA with The Velvet Underground, the New York Dolls, Television, and Iggy and the Stooges...then Malcom ripped off Richard Hell, created Sid Vicious/The Sex Pistols, and thus began the commercial success of "punk", a bastardized version of what started in New York in the late 60's/early 70's.
I think this is more troll than funny, but I'll bite.
Owning a gun doesn't automatically make you a gun nut. Cops own guns, I guess they're nuts too, right? Oh wait, shit...
What constitutes a "racist" remark can be ridiculous...I know a group of people that think those who disagree with reparations for the descendants of slaves are racist. I think that's bullshit personally, but whatever floats your boat.
And writing down child porn or anything else should not be a crime. Having sex with a child should. See the difference? Or have Canadians never heard of free speech?
Honestly, it's not that bad. If I can do it, anyone can...it's just a matter of 1) following instructions and 2) having supported hardware.
I'm trying to decide if I'm going to yank one of the drives from my old computer, add it to my new computer, and fuck around with it for shits and giggles, or if I'm going to try it as a router/firewall and leave my old box intact. I've given up on it as a desktop distro because the developers do not communicate with the community at all, so I'm going back to mandrake.
Most of that sounds like ME, and I'm a person from "Generation Y" supposedly (dob: 11/18/1981). And not only did I hate Milli Vanilli in first grade, I also hated New Kids on the Block. Even though the girl I had a crush on liked them.
What am I supposed to relate to? Limp Bizkit and Monica Lewinsky? Fuck that.
I know that distrowatch.com is not the end-all source for Linux usage, but Gentoo has been #5 there (behind Mandrake, Red Hat, Sorceror, and Debian) for a long time - yes, that's ahead of SuSE and Slack. There are 5500 people registered on their online forum...that's a lot.
I think it's going to gain a lot in popularity with it's 1.4 release, which is going to include both Vi and Nano as choices for text editors during the whole setup process. That, plus gcc 3.2 and portage is going to make it a very nice distro, as 1.2 already is.
While stolen IP was still flying around, there is a big difference between IP (Napster's illegally traded mp3's of RIAA music) and cash money (what people trade on PayPal).
The NFL never said it wasn't trying to shut down sites that charges money with NFL trademarked content. I think the addition of this comparison in the article was of the unfair "apples and oranges" type, because MLB isn't shutting down free-as-in-beer sites either.
This person is not "Insightful", this person didn't read the article!
Baseball is not going after your average Joe Baseball Fan Webmaster. They are going after Mr. JBFWM who charges money on their site and uses intellectual property of MLB (logos, etc.). They have every right to go after these people, it's trademark violation.
Read the article (again?) and you should see this.
Mod parent up! I can't believe I had to scroll down this far to find someone who GOT it. I read this article earlier this morning on MSNBC and figured that out immediately. MLB is not going after you're everyday average fan site, but people who are trying to make a buck (even if it is for hosting costs in most cases, and even if they are not making back their investment).
You don't. It is illegal to work more than 12 hours in one day (wage earner, anyway), and you must have one 24-hour period of no work per week, by law.
You can give up now. You've obviously painted this sap into a corner that they can't escape, so instead of beating you with facts or logic, they're just going to try to disclaim your thoughts. Congratulations, you won the debate!:)

50% of the world's population is below average!!! What are we going to do about this???
Chris
2.5 will never be as stable as 2.2 because it is a testing kernel. You mean 2.6 :)

Basically, every review I have seen of a new Mandrake version since 8.0 has been "this version is buggier than the last"
I haven't had any problems with any of them, so I just disregard them for the most part.
Chris
He's talking about the Apple dual processor machines, I think.

Parent is not a troll, what an abomination of the moderation system!

Ever heard of OS/2? Ever heard of Microsoft Windows?
Embrace, extend...you know the rest.

Try an mpeg decoder card, they're pretty cheap and very effective.

Unleashing droves of Microsoft drones out onto the world and letting them find that they can't get a job: Priceless.

You get reverberation from the room your stereo setup is in, just like in the concert hall :)
So it's your choice...not quite as good reverb in your room (stereo) or simulated reverb (surround sound).
I'll take slightly poorer real thing any day.

Did anyone else think that the subject is what the title of this article was? Say it with a long e *snickers*
Shit, I need to go to bed.

You are not working with quality drives then. Try a Plextor, TDK, or Yamaha (my personal favorite).
