    If the "treatment" leading to the loss of dear old mom cost more then $50K I think all the costs of the improper treatment should be given back as well as a punitive damage for whatever form of malpractice occured.

    I seem to recall that the 8088 IBM PC machines I worked with were all 8 bit, or is there something intrnal to the processor that is double the bus?

    The C800:5 as I recall was specific to Western Digital MFM and RLL controlers. (8 bit)
    I cant remember if they moved it for the 16bit ones sold with 80286 machines.

    But then came Spinrite and we no longer neded to use that debug command unless we really wanted to.

    Yah, but try getting support of bug fixes from either of them.

    It's sad what it says about the software industry when the ex employes do better patching and tech support then the people we pay the money to when we buy the games.

    I think Chinaman should get more then just kudos from grateful gamers, maybe some beer or vacation funds, because it sounds like a lot of work went into this.

    Just saw he even released an update to the patch to fix a issue with reversed signs.

    I dont consider this proof or anything.
    Win2k for Alpha had FX32 built into the OS, unlike NT4. Win2k for Alpha can run x86 code just fine because of this. It speeds up once it's been optimized, but even unoptimized code runs.

    My wife likes to do it because she can control the dodge and burn. This lets her control the outcome of the picture.
    Apart from Photoshop, more modern photographic tech takes this ability and control from you.

    at release time the Geforce 2 Ultra cost $600
    This is somewhat lower for the release cost of a "cutting edge" card.

    "If you feel you have an awesome game idea, Microsoft actually does make it tons easier to become an Xbox developer than it is to become a developer for other consoles. MS has the Xbox Incubator Program, which takes what MS feels are very good ideas and basically becomes your publisher. They will buy the dev kits and resources you need to finish your game."

    I wonder if Nintendos program that is much like what you describe is easy or hard to get into.

    You should see Invade Zim. Also Courag the Cowardly dog, while visually strange, does hit on a number of classic horror themes and clasic movie/tv premises. Courage is clearly aimes at both kids and adults.

    You are correct about how Robotech was created. The first part (macross) suffered the least story wise, but the other twoe had to be completely re-written to showhorn them into the plot set up from the first.
