For me, I was able once (by accident), defeat someone as skilled as myself using Akuma's taunt. I meant to hit the other player when he was on the ground, but I had a finger/brain impulse misalignment and ended up doing a taunt. The other players character was in the middle of getting up at the time and unknown to all 14 people playing (loser gets replaced each fight) taunts can do damage. It did just enough to finish off the other player (we were both near empty on health bars), and was funny as heck. Made the game worth every penny.
The problem was it always seemed to happen. Basically combat UFO to ground vehicle ended up like this: UFO shoots and one of two things can happen 1. vehicle is damaged/destroyed 2. ground under vehicle is destroyed and vehicle is destroyed.
Using hover got around that, but the downside was that hover craft were crap in dogfights against larger ships. So you end up with something like 40 hover bikes with a single laser in the hopes you can swarm the larger ships without to many losses.
As for Aftermath, if you liked the original Xcom: UFO Defense (or as some know it Enemy Unknown) think of it like that but with pretty graphics and the real time tactical setup from Apocalypse. It is not perfect, but if satisfied my craving after Apoc, Armada, and Enforcer.
There appear to be a few UFO style game in the works and I hop however they turn out they play well no matter what style system they use.
Don't forget, he was doing the whole dual living thing with good ol' Rick Jones. Sidekick to (and responsible for the creation of) The Hulk, was the original Bucky. After Marvel dies from cancer (or whatever the aliens called it), we got the Female Lady of Light Marvel.
Thanos might be a fun obscure character to center a film around. He is a villian who gets around and eventually, sort of, becomes a good guy, kinda. This would necessatate Adam Warlock and crew , now those would be some effed up movies.
One I think I'd like to see, but would be panned as a Robocop rip off would be Deathlok
Sounds like we need "NOT BRAND ECHH: Who says a comic book movie has to be good." the movie.Followed by it's obvious "What th--?!" sequal. After that epic lineup they can do the "You Univers" about normal boring people.
With a cast like the following, what could possibly go wrong.
Charlie America, The Inedible Bulk, The Mighty Sore Son of Shmodin, Scaredevel, Forbush-Man, Echhs Men, Knock Furious Agent of SHEESH, Fantastical Four (It's hard to write funny thing dialog that does not sound like regular thing dialog.), The Silver Burper, Sgt. Furious and His Hostile Commandos, Ironed Man, The Pulveriser, Bower Brats, Clunk and Dagnabbit, New Pubescents, Doctor Deranged, Peter Porker the Spectacular Spider-Ham, The Vizzion and the Scarlet Wench, The Revengers, Awful Flight and all the rest.
Also onthe cheap they can cover most of the to be made or badly made movies in the 2 movie blockbuster.
Link has been a little kid in each game. I fail to see the difference between the main character of WW, OoT, Minish Cap, and LttP in age being significant.
Also keep in mind only 2 games ever had Link in them. The rest you are either just some kid in green that ends up called link or a reincarnation of the spirit of the hero Link.
Look at the stories involving a character who does not change like Samus. I think part of the reason for the game style changes is they are not casting the same character every time, even though they always end up dressed in green and having much of the same equipment. They always make it clear who you are and your back story.
Your character (the hero) is not Link. Links is long dead. You are just some kid that gets swept up in a major series of events. They make this quite clear before you leave the first island. Heck people who love you/know you don't want you to leave on the dangerous quest. Remember that your character was dressed in greed for a coming of age (whatever that may be in that universe) ceremony that was clearly part of the Legend of Zelda that survived the flood and being passed down through over a thousand years of history.
To me all the key points in the game (the things involving the main plot) had the necessary epic whateverness.
Try reading The Lord of the Rings. Every moment is not an epic struggle of good vs. evil and heroic combat. Thats what makes it IMO a better story since you don't get bored with yet another battle scene, and when they do come along it makes them that much more interesting. The point where the Rohirrim sweep down into the fields in front of Minas Tirith is possibly one of the best described battles (outside of epics like the Mahabharata, also something that spends little time being all about epicness) I have ever imagined, based on the words on the page.
Yes, I wish there was a bigger Hyrule part to Wind Waker, but I wouldn't trade in anything if it meant a change to the central plot and it's delivery.
The one thing I could never get enough of in Wind Waker was the effect when you killed an enemy, I just liked it like candy. It might be that it reminds me of old school Disney (I think Sleeping Beauty) and the evil Queen/Witch or something like that. It might have been Dragons Lair nostalgia for all I can remember, I just remember feeling good seeing that.
The end (or more specifically stuff dealing with the underwater Hyrule) of Wind Waker IMO delivers that. One thing I wished was that like A Link to the Past (with it's dark world) there was more adventuring in the Underwater Hyrule. I don't know how you can make a Zelda game significantly darker without turning it into Grand Theft Hyrule or Eternal Dark World. At that point is it really Zelda any more?
Only time I can remember playing Madden was on the Amiga, has it changed?
Now give me an update of Grave Yardage or Mutant League Hockey.

I thought the PC Engine Dracula X was better myself, but what aspect of SOTN makes it your favorite?
If it can happen to a grocery list, it can happen to ET carts.
OF! you run out OF them! Say your goddamn prepositions!
Has anyone pointed out that Vesuvius is prior art?

Look up Infocomics for an attempt at what was in Big.
"Do a Micronauts film instead!"
You think they will leave in the (IMO rather graphic) loss of a hand and almost bleading to death inside a space suit (among many other things)?
Don't forget, he was doing the whole dual living thing with good ol' Rick Jones. Sidekick to (and responsible for the creation of) The Hulk, was the original Bucky.
After Marvel dies from cancer (or whatever the aliens called it), we got the Female Lady of Light Marvel.
"Black Falcon: teamed with Captain America to make a biracial crime-fighting superteam."
Heros for Hire also fit this bill.
Heros for Hire would be a good TV series if done right.
I'm up in the air as to which Fantastic Four film I like better.
The film needs more Myserio!

I'd suggest Christopher Lee or anyone who can look/sound like Dr. Orpheus (a Dr. Strange parody) off of venture brothers.

You do know what studio animated Batman:TAS right?

Considering the "real" link is only in 2 Zelda games, what is a "real" zelda game?
Maybe Link can Smoulder with Generic Rage.

Yah, "Cellda" didnt have a shield like that! All he had was shields like the previous games.
So you hate Minish cap, though it looks much like A Link to the Past.
