Why do I get to see the meta data on the post that are hidden by filter???
Really... Are you trying to impress me but showing all the hard work you are doing? How good you are at counting?
Do your job, shut up, fuck out of my attention span!
Am I the only one having in head conversations with user interfaces:)?
At least not with out current consensus on genetics... But we might soon find out how information is transferred not only in the bare base pairs, but also in methylation and the state of other cellular inventory.
Spot on!
I actually been reading the comments, to decide if I had to write this...
Soon Gartner will start taking about âdata lessâ(TM) applications. A concept of strictly managing software and data separately. It turns out government data often has a longer life span than the software used to create and read that data.
That said.... Code is data and data is data...
Seriously... if I were to promote a new idea by letting out a tweet... I would make damn sure my prescious cloud service would be a bit of âscalableâ(TM) and âhigh bandwidthâ(TM) among other essential cloud characteristics!
Well.... I think a lot of the ground has been broken somewhere else:-) Denmark is a bit more sutle on the PR but we sure have the same level of digital services... and might be a few steps ahead here and there
I guess the idea comes out of the eIDAS regulation that requires public administrations in member states to mutually recognize each others government backed eIDs.
And it is not far from the existing requirements for mobile phone providers to identify people buying SIM cards and cell phone and data contracts.
I would leave it up to service providers to decide if they want a) a service with verified ids, that they can choose to hide from other users or b) allow anonymous actions.
e.g.
a) a traditional newspaper going online
b) b-tards at 4chan
What a brunch of old news... I might as well paste my post from seven days ago...
Looks to me like all the designs are also shown in the book AppleDesign, The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group. 1997
Using the word 'reweal' seems like a journalistic twist....
How sad that slashdot is now the place for old news about old news that used to matter for geeks....
A few years ago I wanted to treat my self with a decent wrist watch. After many hour browsing I finally bought a SInn 856 UTC directly from the factory. It has been on my wrist everyday since.
The best part is that nobody ever noticed it. Except once. A high ranking russian software engineer from a big search engine spotted it across the room at a conference with a noticeable übergeek to geek ratio. His comment was something like "hmrf... I went for the cheaper model without the UTC function, but I regret that now". The comment was worth every euro and every hour spend searching.
I guess my point is... Spent some time, find out what story you want to wear on your wrist. And please... don't let it be "I asked slashdot about it". That time is over:-)
And in other news geeks are asked to stand up and engage more in politics and stuff that matters more that wearing a stylish accessory....
I remember being taught about the importance of the plough as an important tool to allow more efficient farming. And I don't think the early ones had wheels.
Reporting from Denmark... a flat country with a thick layer of top soil and no mountains or visible bed rock...
Carpentery as a prerequisite for the wheel you say...?
Actually I think they got that one right. Isn't bronze working before the wheel in the tech-tree?
Add commentators to that... The title contain the word translation not travers:-)
But I still don't get why some communication depertment has to 'translate' it imperial? To make NASA look more american? Less scientific?
SSD would have saved a lot :-)
14 TB per HDD... 80 HDD to half a PB.... times 10...800 HDD weighs 500 kg... A little over half a kilogram.... Sounds about right

I am pretty sure it is not aimed at the desktop marked.... But interesting post...
...you are doing it wrong!
Might be faster.... But you will also miss all new random mutations....
At least not with out current consensus on genetics... But we might soon find out how information is transferred not only in the bare base pairs, but also in methylation and the state of other cellular inventory.
So the training gets embedded in the DNA and transferred to the new generation?
Because someone is trying to read the article

And the problem scale exponential with population size.... Estonia is about 1.5 million people

To regulate the rights citizens to a form of privacy within a market... Your business is welcome in our market â" if you provide a bit of privacy....
Do you have more than 200 employees?
Exactly... be original and creative :-)
The government wins if they can tax the payment...
From Qubes website, describing its own role... > If it breaks, so goes the global digital economy. Well, let's see about that.

In the title on the linked video the altitude and traverse is given in meters....
I guess the engineers got it right, but a few translations through journalists and bloggers managed to blur and dum it down....
