Has it not dawned on you that anything you say or do online, on the phone (wireless or wired), is being monitored by the government and their billionaire/corporate overseers? Sure, all these new ways to communicate are way cool, but, they come at a price........privacy! If you don't want to be tracked, use only cash for all purchases and never give your name. If you want to communicate anything sensitive to anyone, do it the way we used to......in private, face to face. Sure, you say, it should all be private, but, the corporations and the government have other ideas. There is no way that encryption, proxy servers, etc., etc. will ever make you safe from surveillance. I know, you think that lawsuits or protests will "make you free", but, in the new Dollarocracy, those in power will just laugh at you behind your back.

I'm sure the politicians in our current Dollarocracy will find a quasi-legal way of shuffling these funds into their private slush funds (Can you say Tahiti vacation!). If we don't find a way of getting big money out of our elections soon, the billionaires and corporations will soon be in total charge of our government. I'm sure they would think replacing food stamps with Solient Green is perfectly acceptable for their bottom lines!

If Antigua pursues this, the U.S. can first, issue a travel advisory to U.S. citizens wishing to travel there, second, ban all flights from the U.S. to Antigua, and third, ban any international flight that passes through the U.S. or any that stop in Antigua before traveling to the U.S. Personally, I don't believe gambling should be allowed on the internet at all. If all this fails to detour Antigua from cashing in on pirated U.S. movies, TV, books, etc., maybe we should just "liberate" all those poor souls living there and make them a U.S. protectorate! Then their internet gambling sites would be legal in the U.S. and they could rip off all the poor schmuck marks in the U.S. stupid enough to engage in gambling.

If you must do or say something that is not, do it in private, face to face, in a room that has not/can not be bugged.

  19. Re:Bullshit we won't notice on Redesigned Seats Let Airlines Squeeze In More Passengers · · Score: 0

I'm over 6'4". When I cram myself into an airline seat, my knees are already up against the seat in front of me. My solution if the person in front of me decides to recline their seat is to slam my hand into the back of the seat. This usually brings an apology and they move their seat back to the upright position. If they instead choose to confront me with scorn, I simply tell them that I will continue to slam my hand into the seatback every few minutes of the flight. They usually get the message when they see a huge old marine telling them this. When I first started flying airlines in the 1970's, this was not a problem since there was plenty of leg room. The airlines in their continued quest to cram as many people into a plane as possible, are the root of the problem. If the person in front of me complains to the stewardess/steward and they ask me to stop, I tell them to get me a seat that fits or f**k off. I believe if more tall people would use this tactic the airlines may be forced to have some rows of seats with actual leg room for us. Knowing the ways of the corporate airlines though, they will probably just start making people sign papers saying they won't complain about being squeezed into sardine cans!

If the parents don't respond and the offenses continue, then, the parents can face counseling along with their "bully" children.
