I've gotten an lcd from eio before...I got it...it didn't work. Couple friends of mine did the same...with the same results. Contacted eio, they said send them back, so we did...never got a replacement, never got a refund. I definitely don't recommend these guys...

Why would it be illegal in any manner? That's just what they decided to name the chip. They aren't saying it's a 1900 Mhz, they're saying the model number is 1900. I don't see how that's unethical, bad PR, whatever. They still tell you how many Mhz it is, it's just not called a 1600 Mhz. Just because people with no (or little) knowledge of computers will mistake it for a Mhz rating, doesn't mean they can't call it whatever the hell they want.

How about if you don't want tactics? How about if you just want to blow stuff up? I personally don't feel like thinking when I'm trying to relax. There's a reason it's called 'mindless entertainment'...

I second that motion...I do tech support, which, as any other "technical support specialist" knows, is usually nothing more than a big tape, repeated infinitely. I need something to keep busy with, as I'm going through my script...so what do I end up doing? Playing Super Mario Brothers. Heh, I can get through every board in the game 3 times on most of the sign-up calls...

just thought I'd throw my 2 bits in...as stated above, icecast works (IMHO) pretty damn well. a friend of mine from high school is running a streaming server off it, and has been for the past 3 years. he only had one bad crash, but that's because he was being a dumbass. :)

Like someone posted above, if you could keep a continuous power source to the ram (previously recommended rechargable batteries) then I don't see why this wouldn't work. I was once thinking of something similar for USB...make a SODIMM adapter with a battery that recharges off the bus. I'm not an ee, so I don't know how feasible this is, but it seems like a good idea to me...

I agree whole-heartedly. I had to help a customer edit MSDOS.SYS the other day to boot into the GUI.
It took me half and hour to get her to a prompt...it took 2 minutes to un-attrib MSDOS.SYS, edit it, save it, re-attrib it, and reboot. The sad part is, I'm not exagerating (sp?) in any manner...

I work tech support, so I get to deal with people all day long who have no idea how to right click. My point being, I'm constantly thinking up a "strategy" on how to get them to do what they need to do. When I go home and want to have fun, and relax, I don't want to think. I think hard all day long. I want one rule: if it a'int me...make it explode. ymmv
