So tell me, what do I need to search for to pull up the 14,000 jobs that IBM has available? Surely I can move in with my parents and give up saving for the future and make myself competitive for one of these positions, right?
You do realize that the OpenBSD camp goes line by line auditing code to make sure it's secure before they ship it with a release. A lot of the packages from OpenBSD are modified for security. You can look at the Apache 1.3x as an example. So, they do also claim the software/tools ARE better.
But the point he is trying to get across is that this is misleading and not really newsworthy. I initially thought they had figured out how to cross the two architectures on the Comp E. level, but yeah, this is just a case mod. Its cool and all but c'mon...a casemod.
Yeah considering a nicer version of what they did can be seen Here. It may not be a P4 but its basically x86 on a mac with no stupid P-4 letters, or extras.
Typical, you hear everyone bitching because the doc format is not open and its not like OO's XML standard etc and so on. Now MS does it and people like you still complain. Its nice hearing people who don't know what they want or is it the MS bias?
Yes, because the manual docs are in one big random text dump not catergorized by section. Have you even checked out the FreeBSD (and OpenBSD) docs lately. Go to the website, it is catergorized by what you want and need to do. Everything from setting up ipfw or pf to the installing of ports. This has to be FUD to an extreme. Anyway the BSDs is not looking to be your mother's OS, especially OpenBSD, read the first page, OpenBSD's goal is to be functional and secure, but the ease to install depends your level of knowledge and your willingness to read. As much as I hate hearing some people need a good dose of RTFM, it is actually helpful.
Clicking the IE icon may be irrelevant when 49 instances are already running, 17 porn dialers are competing for access, and half your hard drive is being sent over the internet for "marketing research". But I'm sure its not that hard to click the IE icon for another instance;-).
You'd probably care if developers started using non standard HTML that breaks your kick ass browser. Thats what the big issue with the browsers were. If there were a "monopoly" of free browsers those who render broken html would be more pursuaded to conform to some sort of coherent standard. Perhaps.
...and here I was expecting a to hear about a Michael Bay patent, NASA was infinging on. I guess this is ridiculously equivalent.
We can all always go work in the food service industry!!!
A one way flight to India for starters.
oversued? don't tell me Yakov Smirnoff patented it.

Yeah because only these people use it. Nobody must use it at all.

Dvorak is that you?

So exactly what part of 0.000000000001 states we have owe them money? ;-)
The poster might be refering IE 4.5 for Mac OS 9. I won't go more in depth than that because I thought that browser with its skins was a joke.

You can try your luck with Netgear USB Adapter Though I am not sure if there are drivers via Linux.
Real geeks telnet port 80. :-)
Its not $20,000 but, agreeing with you, its not enough for what they do.
