Mercury!!!!!!!!!!! that conducts heat really well... heh heh:)
I think the main reason he wanted minral oil was that it didn't freez at -40C. you could only use de-inozed water to cool to 0C. The propertys you want would be: Low freezing point (less then -60C), large heat capacity, and an insulater --------------- Chad Okere
I think your missing something pretty critical here, all Sci-fi movies are going to have "some" sort of logic flaws, otherwise they wouldn't be sci-fi movies. As far as the phone thing, remember the original people were brought out by the first "chosen one" he (or she) could have created the "hardlines." It's pretty obvious that the "hardlines" are a little different then any wire phone. If the matrix is a computer system, then the "hardline" phones represent a entry point into the part of the software that makes it safe for people to leave the matrix,
As for the battery thing, I'd say that was a little weak, but I can see it. There were probably like 20 billion people on the planet when the matrix was first created, as far as the thermodynamics thing: well, thermodynamics don't apply at the molecular scale, if the machines could figure out nanotech, then it wouldn't be an issue.:)
a lot of the logic "flaws" in the movie can be overcome if you just think abou them for a while. And I think its a good movie, give it a little bit of resonable doubt.
Btw, if you didn't like the matrix, and you did like TPM, somthing is wrong with you.
I don't think that anyone in the movie Called Cypher "Louis" at any point, and the Agent called him "Mr Reagan". As an aside, my sister first saw the Matrix in it's hacked VCD form on my computer. She thought Keanu Reves's characters name was "Neal", not Neo.
"Neal, you are the one!" --------------- Chad Okere
WTF!?! Yeh, nick cage is a great actor, but can you imagine him as a 19 year old kid? we might as well cast Patrick Stewart, he's a good actor...
I personally think Leo would make a good Anikin, He really is a good actor, I think. While its true that He is pretty famous, I think you'd get over that quickly. Liam Neson and Ewin McGregor were both pretty famous to. Besides, he couldn't be any worse then Mark Hamil
Well I don't know much about the stability of BeOS vs Linux... but I don't think you'd see much stability of oracle on be, considering there is no port...
please, "knowing when a floppy disk is in the drive" if that's all you mac heads can come up with, it's pretty sad.
and before OS X (read: about the last 5 years) mac OS has been wofully inept, no multithreading, no *protected memory*! but I've had to sit and listen to mac users talk about how great there systems where beacuse the disk drive didn't have a button (witch bugged the hell out of me, "look it only takes 10 seconds to get your disk out!").
in the mean time, the system's need to reboot about every hour. And don't say that I never use the things, they are the *only* computers at my school, and I've been forced to use them just about every day... I know what I'm talking about
ia32 hasn't been vapor where since 1985 I'm sorry, but that was a *really* stupid comment if you don't know what somthing is, you should *Keep your mouth shut!*
hrm... what does transmeta have to do with Unix? Think about it.
