In the US, there are 50 states. There are 50 ways (at least) of checking emissions. Hell, in my state alone, there are 2 (maybe three) different ways. In some areas, no checks at all. In my area, once every two years, you go to the state facility. They strap the car to the rolling road, and put a sniffer in the pipe. Some dipshit gov't worker hops in, gets your car up to 50. There's no rhyme nor reason to the process.
Something better than displacement or supercharging: displacement and supercharging.
It's unlikely that his car weighs 3 tons. More like 2-2.5 on the outside. And yes, a 1 ton car with 200 could probably beat it in most instances, but an Acura Integra ain't a 1 ton car.
I love to irk people with big V8s - they are silly in the age of forged engine internals, ECU control, and modern design. You haven't lived until you've seen the expression on a Z06 corvette owner's face when he gets is ass handed to him by a built and tuned 1.8L Acura Integra. My current project is an engine buildup for my 2.2L Prelude, and I have ~300HP as a reasonable target. It's amazing what a little thought and hacking can do. You can't run much more power than that on the street feasibly, so penis issues aside - if you can make 300HP+ from a 1.8L engine - why bother with more? Troll in the extreme - you can design 1500+ HP V8's, but they're not driveable. IMHO. YMMV. YHBT. etc.
No. The best is when you hand the Corvette, Viper, Porsche driver his ass with only 600cc's. Sorry bud, but if you're looking for performance, usable performance, you'll only be finding it on two wheels.
I gave up on it after about three months of no modules worth a damn. Everything I found was of the same average quality/completeness of a Sourceforge project. I uninstalled it about a month ago in order to install... Something. Can't remember:) But, if I can find the discs and key, I may reinstall for this expansion.
No. More likely they'll raise your taxes to hire some more cronies (read: judges) to hear cases. Or they'll remove the right for you to appeal the decision. Or even have a trial. In the US, most traffic violations are civil offenses, so your 'rights' are severely curtailed. No idea about the UK.
Supposedly the twin cammers are reasonably smooth (for a V-twin) and I imagine the car would have rubber engine mounts. Still, I'm inclined to agree with you.
Talk to your local rehab office. They should be able to pony up some funds for any extra equipment. If he is blind and not deaf, say a prayer every day, as equipment and help is much easier to find. But make sure he learns Braille, and doesn't use text-to-speech as a crutch.
That's too clunky. Check out this. Much smaller, half the price. Sadly, I plan on buying one for my wife. BTW, she taught herself Braille in about 6 weeks. Speed was slow, but is progressing nicely. OTOH, I imagine it would take you a little longer to learn, as I'm guessing you have other options available.
Still, it's pretty cool. Especially if you ever see how large a Braille book is.
What's wrong with them? Bikes have notoriously poor headlights, and some extra wattage is a good thing. Further, the GS is technically a sorta rough road bike, and it's entirely possible that the vehicle may be used offroad.
This is very typical of Corbin. In addition, the 'every seat is custom' line is pure bullshit. Talk to some folks who make truly custom seats (Meyer and the company that he started after selling the original Meyer), and you'll see that the prices are comparable, yet they take the time to get to know the customer. The new Meyer (sorry, can't remember the name) gets photos of you, you on your bike, your typical riding conditions, etc, etc, etc, before making a seat. Corbin is a shit company, and I pray that the failure of the 'Sparrow' takes the seat company with them.
At some point in time, there was an ad saying 'John Romero wants to make you his bitch!' Personally, I thought Stevie Case had already applied for that position.
It was just part of the massive amounts of trash talking that was slung in the overlong run up to the game. He was so full of himself, and then managed to sell a pile of dung only slightly less bad than Black and White.
Like the other guy said, Carter signed the bill. Some dipshit screwed up and omitted 'and beer' from the text of the bill in the 30's (?) that again allowed homemade wine to be made.
To say that homebrewing is as strong as ever is far from the truth. Far more people brewed their own just 150 years ago. Now whether or not it was drinkable... We can discuss that over a few gallons of homebrew:)
Seriously though how long till you see *Hacked with Megasquirt* stickers on all the rice mobiles going around?
They're probably already there. But written in Kanji.
I was wondering if this had something to do with the DIYEFI project. What motor are you building? Hmm.... Guess I could copy and paste that link.

Shit. Just posted similar thing. What are you referring to, V-Max?

Ditto.
And 95% of the population is going to voluntarily hand over these taxes for the government to use to hire judges to arrest them? Huh?
Why would they stop now?

Reread the statement:
consolidated balance sheets reflect the amounts collected related to this agency agreement but not yet remitted to Novell of $1,428,000 and $1,894,000
IOW, SCO hasn't paid shit.

Ever heard of Turkey?
Yeah. A Cypriot friend has told me all about Turkey...
If that's the best anyone can come up with...
Robot sharks. With frickin' laser beams on their heads.
Just tell them you can't afford a computer that will run it. What does the latest version of Office require now? A Cray? ;)
No. Just a Beowulf cluster.

"Easy access navigation buttons" are the black bumps on the front of the machine. Behind that are the Braille display cells.

what Bavarian beer is really made of
The same thing as all German beer: barley, hops, water, yeast.
The actual law.
People tried to post the news about Augustin. It was rejected.

The Merlin was/is just a transverse mounted Harley (evo, not twin cam AFAIK) powered thing. Probably just as much in the shitter.

With that many topic icons, you couldn't add a 'It's Funny, Laugh' icon?
