WoP qualifies as free, although the assets are released under a 'charge no money' restriction?

Urban Terror afaik is _more_ free.. why isn't it in this list? Why is yet another boring Q3Arena-clone considered the best? Apart from the graphics, can anyone tell me what is different about open arena, alien arena, warsow, or even padman? The gameplay is basically identical in all of them. Yawn!

IMHO WoP should have been 3rd on this list, Tremulous 2nd, and Urban Terror 1st...

Microsoft once bought a moderately large chunk of non-voting stock. They never came close to owning Apple, and they didn't even have any influence over Apple via the stock they bought.

Since then they've sold that stock and AFAIK Microsoft do not currently have any significant amount of money invested in Apple.

You can still pick them up sniffing the network, you just need to be about three times smarter than a rock instead of barely smarter than a rock.

You missed another advantage. Since the printed ballot is in a consistent (and preferably standard) format, those votes can be optically counted by a tallying machine built by a completely different vendor. If the preliminary count and independent OCR count agree within some agreed margin (we'll allow for misreading a vote or two per million, OCR isn't perfect). Then we can have a final, trustworthy election result within minutes of the closing of the polls. Accurate, trustworthy, _and_ fast. Wouldn't that be nice!

It's called 'sourceforget' because 90% of the 'projects' are something someone thought might be a good idea, started a project in the planning stage, and then gave up when they realized nobody was going to write it all for them.
